Long lines form for LittleBigPlanet at World Hobby Fair

It looks like Sony may have a hit on its hands with the upcoming LittleBigPlanet for PS3. The Media Molecule-developed platformer was showcased at World Hobby Fair in Japan, and it had an impressive showing. The Japanese clamored for more of the oh-so-cute game, and endured waits as long as half an hour to play the game. To see such excitement over a non-Japanese developed game is rather rare. We're sure this early playtest bodes well for the global success of the title.

The move was a bit of a no-brainer on the part of Sony. This game seems almost tailor-made for the Japanese market, and the near obsession that they have for cuteness (or "kawai" as they say).

Um...LBP is NOT the same as having your nads ripped out by SE. Funny how SONY will get 10% of sales revenue from the Xbox now...

Arg get over it.
Microsofts biggest anouncement is that they are getting a game that Sony is also getting.
Capitalism works, what do you know! Now everyone gets to play FFXIII.
Sony have some great titles coming up, you don't have to kill yourselves because contrary to what you may be thinking you made a good decision buying a PS3. There I said it.

so, FFXIII is now multi.... what about Versus??! does that retain its PS3 exclusivity?! if so, with that and LBP, its not all doom and gloom. Its a blow sure, but its not like we, the faithful few, are being denied it.

It doesn't matter anymore. MS dealt Sony a deathblow with the FFXIII announcement. It is over for the PS3. This is news isn't going to soften that now.

Deathblow, hahahah. So we lost an exclusive, big deal. We still have plenty more coming. It's not like on the Xbox where, if GoW2 or Halo 15 went multiplat it'd be a death knell for them.

So....when is LBP coming to Xbox?..... sorry im still upset about what happened to FF. It looked good, but now they have to reduce the graphics by about 20% and shorten the game by about 60%.... im already wundering what could have been.

I think they may have to make FFXIII a multi-disc game for the Xbox. How else will they be able to fit in all the cut scenes?! Barring the video, the game could probably fit onto a standard DVD.

I can't believe how many people are wailing on like this is the end of the PS3. Geez guys, the PS3 is well established now. One lost exclusive is not going to hurt it. In fact, if I'm right about the multi-disc thing, then the PS3 will look more attractive because of the convenience of not having to swap discs out.

My lord, grow up children. If the fact that others are able to play a game which YOU CAN STILL PLAY is the end of the world to you, you've got some sad priorities. Sell your PS3's. Then do us all a favor and go read a book.

I think the real concern here is that FF13 will be crippled to run on the Xbox, and since it's getting a simultaneous release, the PS3 version will get crippled along with it.

If SE had an ounce of loyalty they'd roll out the same game on both platforms, but make the PS3 version completely destroy the Xbox version, then come out and say "we did the best we could with Microsoft's hardware".

well read around a lil ppl. Square enix announced that the x360 version of FF is not i repeat NOT coming to japan, and Japan will get theyre ps3 version like half a year before europe and US.... so its still exclusivity at launch... its not as bad as we thought, but its still bad....
