Rock Band 2 confirmed tracklist: 84 songs
No more speculation is necessary -- the tracklist for Rock Band 2 has been confirmed. Harmonix has announced that the much-anticipated sequel will contain 100+ songs. That's right, more than 100. A total of 84 of these songs will be included on the game disc, with another 20 coming your way via a free DLC later on.
And there's more. In addition to DLC content from the original Rock Band, Rock Band 2 will allow players to "export most of the Rock Band disc tracks and upgrade them into Rock Band 2 gameplay." However, this will cost $5.
The entire disc tracklist right after the jump:

mikefaria @ Jul 14th 2008 2:46PM
No beatles... sigh
dcmoney05 @ Jul 14th 2008 2:53PM
i heard it was a XBOX 360 exclusives
linebeginstoblur @ Jul 14th 2008 3:11PM
It's a timed exclusive, which means that it will come out first for Xbox 360, and we have to wait for PS3, PS2, and Wii versions, though they should all be out by the end of the year...at least for America. My deepest sympathies go out to Europeans, who still don't have Rock Band 1 on non-360 consoles. ;_;
Nash @ Jul 14th 2008 2:59PM
I am SOOOOO buying this...we need a PS3 date!! What's the deal with not bringing them out together anyway? And why are they charging 5 bucks to add the songs from the first disc? That's kinda lame...still buying day 1 (PS3 day 1 anyway)!
Kyle @ Jul 14th 2008 2:59PM
Can you play RB2 songs on original RB? i thought i saw somewhere that they can go both ways.
Deathalo @ Jul 14th 2008 3:00PM
YES!

Mike W @ Jul 14th 2008 3:12PM

Richie_Tozier @ Jul 14th 2008 3:13PM
I'm a bit disappointed, but Painkiller, Battery, and Peace Sells are gonna be amazing.
sgt barone @ Jul 14th 2008 3:14PM
cant wait for this! screw GH IV
linebeginstoblur @ Jul 14th 2008 3:15PM
I'm disappointed in the lack of a Freezepop song. Freezepop has been in FreQuency, Amplitude, the first two Guitar Heroes, and Rock Band, so I'm kind of sad that this seems like the first major Harmonix release in a while to not have Freezepop. Maybe this is punishment for putting one of their songs on Guitar Hero for the DS. lol
PUNKUHR @ Jul 15th 2008 12:02PM
Freezepop may be one of the songs that are released for free later (the 10 they mentioned...). Lets just cross our fingers, cuz i love me that freezepop!
Matt @ Jul 14th 2008 3:50PM
Damn! I was excited about "Black". At least I got a Pearl Jam song. Plus I guess there's still hope through DLC.
Raptortim @ Jul 14th 2008 4:47PM
Awesome! The song list kicks ass!
Jack @ Jul 14th 2008 9:18PM
It's 'Girls NOT Grey', not 'Girls Gone Grey.'
Dan @ Jul 15th 2008 12:30AM
Still no misfits...
linebeginstoblur @ Jul 15th 2008 12:34AM
Wait... correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Metallica just announced as an exclusive to Guitar Hero: World Tour? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to still have some Metallica while I still can, but does this mean that this list may not be completely final or does it just mean that the rights to this Metallica song were secured just in time?
Ashley @ Jul 15th 2008 12:11PM
They have that new Paramore song...and not Flyleaf's All Around Me, slightly disappointing..and as for Freezepop, the Sprite song is amazing!
This list is ok..I dont like it as much as Rockband 1.
I dont know many of the songs! :(
elbillo @ Jul 15th 2008 9:12PM
wow, killer tracks ! I can't believe all the "A-list" songs in here. this is gonna be a blast, and I have to get this. I've got all the guitar hero games (ps2) but no rock band. ....... wow/drool...........
skankinvictim @ Jul 16th 2008 10:00PM
