$5 doesn't sound too bad.
linebeginstoblur @ Jul 14th 2008 3:03PM
$5 sounds great. This might just be the incentive I needed to get Rock Band 2. Thanks, Harmonix!
MBchrono @ Jul 14th 2008 3:05PM
Not sure I could be anymore excited. Its a shame they pander to M$ with the timed exclusive. And while I do have a 360 and semi tempted to get the game early, I think I can wait it out an extra couple months.
Every day there is another article proving microsoft is ruining the gaming industry. A timed exclusive on this sort of game does nothing but anger gamers.
Peacefuloutrage @ Jul 14th 2008 10:35PM
Exclusive only piss off gamers who don't have access to them. If you have a 360, there is no reason to bitch, as it is an EA decision. Uncharted is a great game, but it's not on the 360. No one here is bitching at Sony for it.
Dan Davis @ Jul 14th 2008 3:08PM
Less than $5 = Totally worth it!
Eric E @ Jul 14th 2008 3:22PM
but you could just keep your old disc if you have it and play it right? Theres no need for this if you have RB1 and don't mind switching disks?
Roto13 @ Jul 14th 2008 4:44PM
I guess they'll also look like RB2 songs if you transfer them. :P But yeah, if I had Rock Band and was planning to buy Rock Band 2, this is something I'd probably live without.
MakaiOokami @ Jul 14th 2008 7:25PM
Well they are planning to add new features. My guess is the 5 dollars is for the work they'd be putting in implimenting new features into the old game. Besides... 5 dollars is nothing you'll get more than that when you trade in your Rock Band 1 disc later on. Think about that...
Keep the disc and save 5 dollars... Transfer the tracks at 5 dollars and get 10-25 dollars trade in credit for the trading in the original game...
What do you choose?
ogvor @ Jul 14th 2008 3:34PM
Too bad it's and Xbox 360 exclusive.
Puntachu @ Jul 14th 2008 4:05PM
I'm sick of hearing this...
For the last time, it's a "timed" exclusive. The other consoles should be getting it before the close of the year. This has been said so many times, yet I still see comments like this; it's just frustrating.
ogvor @ Jul 14th 2008 7:25PM
So you don't mind if people say MGS4 will come to Xbox 360... eventually?
It happened with FFXIII
D @ Jul 14th 2008 3:35PM
*most*? :(
will @ Jul 14th 2008 3:40PM
so i could borrow this game and unlock the tracks thus paying $5 for the original?
carl @ Jul 14th 2008 4:52PM
well, its not like im trading in my Rock Band 1 anyway...so Im probably not gonna use this
HektikLyfe @ Jul 14th 2008 7:33PM
I am concerned by the use of the term MOST and the lack of detail concerned with the cost of transfer. Under $5. For all of them? Or each? Because that would make a tremendous difference.
Grover @ Jul 15th 2008 1:05AM
This is a good deal? Pay $5 to use the songs you already paid $60 to buy in a game you just also paid $60 to buy? I feel so honored!
Thomas Fogh @ Jul 15th 2008 2:45AM
I (and many others) have asked Activision to do this for Guitar Hero for a long time. I'm actually considering to switch to Rock Band...
