Sony unveiled a major first party PS3 title heading for the PSP. Resistance for the PSP will be known as Resistance Retribution. It'll be a third person action game using an over-the-shoulder view. The game will be developed by Sony Bend, developers of the Syphon Filter PSP games. The game looks gorgeous. Pictured is Resistance Fall of Man and not the new PSP game.
Awesome, day one buy from me, Sony Bend has my full respect after resurrecting the Syphon Filter Series from the dead and on PSP no less. They demand attention.
DUDE. This is #$@%ing awesome! I'm not into Resistance, but there are these huge PS3 titles expanding to PSP now. Valkyria Chronicles, Super Stardust, now Resistance. Gosh. This game may bring back the PSP! Man, but I wish that Guerilla Games wouldve made Killzone 2 (or another Killzone title) for PSP :(((
This will certainly get me playing my PSP again. This and Super Stardust Portable.
I would have liked trophies to come to the PSP though. Tretton mentioned it was a competitive advantage - well then use the PSN to bring them together, you dunce!
Turn the PSN identity in to a proper universal ID - have PS3 trophies show on the PSP and vice versa. Let them both have access to your friends list, and integrate to allow content purchases on one platform for the other. Then get more Remote Play-accessible content, and you've got a proper branded ecosystem.
I agree with u FULLY, trophies on the psp would get alot of people buying and playing more games. I think it'd b a boost to software sales. Maybe if they could somehow get a verification that the actual UMD is in the psp too 4 the trophies 2 work it could slow down some piracy. They gotta do somethin about that soon. I LOVE my psp and ps3 integration. I hope we see alot more to come out of both of them. Also can't wait 4 this game, I'm actually gon pre order this thing as soon as I can. What they really need to do is release all the stuff that Japan gets. More colors 4 psp, gps, camera, tv tuner, dock that connects to the tv with the multi function remote. ALL that would give hardware sales a sick boost. That's why it's killin it in Japan and not here too much.

After watching the game footage, this games looks like it's going to be sweet. With the Syphon Filter dev team behind it, we know it's in good hands.
