rgoff31 @ Jul 16th 2008 3:13PM
Not every game has to be a shooter, I'll be getting it.
I really enjoy flOw and Cloud.

I dont even know the word Im looking for right now... confused is the closest thing I can come up with. lol
HAAS599 @ Jul 16th 2008 3:31PM
so we are finally getting around to talking about the upcoming PSN titles.
I thought they were one of the higlights of E3
Fat Princess, Flowers, and PJ eden all look fun and ORIGINAL.
Plus there was a bionic commando-like game that looked great too. Dont remember the name though
Lars @ Jul 16th 2008 5:07PM
Was it Bionic Commando: Rearmed? LOL
To be honest, I was tentatively excited about flOwer until I saw this. It looks like a 3D version of flOw, with plants instead of creatures. But basically the same premise... explore, collect, yawn.
Don't get me wrong, I love indie games. And I applaud flOw for being different. But I still want my indie games to be compelling and have some kind of goal. Otherwise it's just a neat screen saver.
willxcore @ Jul 16th 2008 3:33PM
I have a feeling you will control a flower pedal with the sixaxis controls through a field and will collect other flower pedals along your way to make a chain of spiraling pedals blowing in the wind. I can't imagine what the ultimate goal would be but it seems like it would be right in line with flOw and expanding your character by collecting pieces of other things on the screen. I also got the vibe that it will contribute a bit to the soundtrack every time you collected a new piece, something a little like Everyday Shooter.
Nate @ Jul 16th 2008 3:41PM
Honestly, I think flOw was a waste of money. I played it for an hour or so and then had absolutely no inclination to go back to it. It's not as bad as some, but really, there wasn't much depth to the game.
Neuromancer @ Jul 16th 2008 4:00PM
No I'd say it's more like art than a game.
As long as you know what you're getting into I think it's worth it.
I was playing flOw on the PSP before going to bed last night, very relaxing and soothing.
Lars @ Jul 16th 2008 5:10PM
I think the biggest mistake is really to call flOw a "game" because games have to have a point, goal, or challenge.
It's more like a "relaxation experience" or something.
John @ Jul 16th 2008 8:30PM
I loved flOw and my friends did, it's a story of evolution-- an old, old, tale, and done very well.
The1stMJC @ Jul 16th 2008 3:46PM
I love that the psn has different type of games like this that are not the usual type of games. I like during their showcase how they mentioned how they feel that the games put on the psn are all quality games and not like other consoles where they just put up a lot of games good and bad, mainly bad, to just say they have a lot of games. All the games on the psn are great quality in their own way even though there isn't a lot. So I am glad on how the psn is producing not a game every week or so just to have a game.
HAAS599 @ Jul 16th 2008 3:47PM
I agree. I played it on PC before it came to psn and that was enough for me.
I regret buying PAIN. Give me all the new characters and the new level for free and I would say it was a good buy.
PirateGamer @ Jul 16th 2008 3:51PM
I'm sorry but Flowers and stuff? Seriously... maybe I'll give it a try but seriously though?
Gambit07 @ Jul 16th 2008 3:56PM
Hope it has 256 person online MP.
SimplyB @ Jul 16th 2008 4:12PM
I'll get this just like flow, loco roco, & PJM sometimes I need a game to chill to instead of killing everything in sight and the franticness of most of today's games.
Sveppi @ Jul 16th 2008 4:12PM
I think it looks brilliant :)
WoLoCo @ Jul 16th 2008 5:58PM
i second that
dave @ Jul 16th 2008 4:15PM
For the few that played it... this game has an "okami" look and feel to it. Too bad that studio isn't around to make a PS3 version, visuals were ridiculous
adolson @ Jul 16th 2008 5:58PM
I thought most of the Okami guys were now working on that Mad World game for Wii? Not called Clover, but somethign else I forget at the moment.
golden sapphire @ Jul 16th 2008 4:21PM
genious!
finaly we have games that respect our inteligence and not force us to kill animated images of people to earn points and rewards
Kenneth @ Jul 16th 2008 4:32PM
flower is sexy
Bodros @ Jul 16th 2008 4:55PM
Yeah....this game is very innovative actually :D
but still the best way to play it is when you are sleepy , tired , mad or high *look at all the colors duuude O_o*
I'm gonna get it for shure!!!
Snowman @ Jul 16th 2008 4:56PM
I looks pretty for sure, but I'll hold back judgment until I see what the gameplay is like.
mezzanine @ Jul 16th 2008 5:12PM
It's a flower petal flight simulator. Duh.
farfisa @ Jul 16th 2008 5:28PM
You're a flower, and you do flower shit. Seems pretty simple to me.
Henry E. @ Jul 16th 2008 5:57PM
if flower is 5 and below, then i'm sold, i don't see this thing worth more than 5 unless there are things we don't know yet that are worthwhile. but i enjoy something relaxing as oppose to all these shooter kind of games.
John @ Jul 16th 2008 7:15PM
This reminds me of that tech demo with the flying leaves where each of them had their own sound channel.
Tony @ Jul 16th 2008 8:10PM
I vote yay....looks very calming and beautiful.
John @ Jul 16th 2008 8:34PM
I hope there's different landscapes or at least varying weather.
John @ Jul 16th 2008 9:00PM
I think it's a "grass" ;) RPG-- love this stuff about the Playstation brand, can't find it anywhere else.
Daniel @ Jul 16th 2008 9:21PM
looks very interesting, I'm on the fence on this one, want to see more of it before I decide if it would be worth a purchase...
