Killzone 2 = pretty explosions

Sure, Sony didn't show this new Killzone 2 trailer off at their press conference, but instead snuck it up onto their press site after the show. Why? That's a good question, but don't worry your pretty little head about it. Just check the video out for over a minute of new Killzone 2 footage, including some more gorgeous explosions. We don't mind seeing grey and green 90% of the time when these super-colorful explosions are our reward. More explosions please.

The vid is also on the PSN store. For some reason, the vid makes me think that's multiplayer.

I'm not a huge fan of the explosions, to tell the truth. I love the color, but not the shape. Seems too spherical, too thin. It needs more volume to go along with it, and to be more irregularly shaped. that'd look much better. But yeah the color is a great first step. I hope they plan to revise it.

Exactly what i was thinking. I always found the explosions in particular from the Killzone 2 videos not very appealing and somehow very synthetic.

Rumor has it that Sony pulled this video. I found it on Youtube, but a lot of people are saying it's going to get pulled soon too. Cool vid, I like the damage to columns with debris falling everywhere. Nice to see running animations and different outfits on people; though, the previous trailers were more impressive imo. Still good info.
