The art of Resistance 2
Insomniac is really a marvel. The developer is set to release its fourth PS3 game later this year (including Ratchet & Clank PSN), and it doesn't look like things are going to slow down for PS3's most prolific team. The upcoming Resistance 2 looks absolutely stunning, with beautiful vistas and gruesome character designs that scream "please shoot me."
Take a closer look at some of the game's villains and weapons by peering into this Resistance 2 concept art. Then, marvel at how well these concepts are executed in these brand new screenshots. Once look, and you'll be amazed at how far Insomniac has come since debuting the original Resistance during the system's launch.

The movement in the game needs a lot of work. Everything seemed rather clunky. Im sure that will all get ironed out pre-release. R&C was very smooth and I expect R2 will be too.
The visuals look great though. Its clear that Insomniac focuses on using more polygons and less high res textures to ease the memory burden.

I noticed the clunky movements as well. Hope they get smoothed out.

Not nearly as bad as DC Universe at this point!

I can't wait for this game. This is going to be one of the big hitters for Sony. Looks really nice.
I remember reading a few gaming sites Monday evening and some people were saying it doesn't matter what Nintendo & Sony have to show in their presentations, Microsoft already took the cake. Well...

I have to say that I wasn't impressed with Sony's conference. There really wasn't a reveal that made me go "Wow". I guess, after the FFXIII debacle, I was expecting some sort of dramatic comeback. I just didn't feel it.
Also, people who've read my comments in the past know that I'm a PS3fanboy through-and-through so this is not trolling. I was just disappointed.

Thanks for the link - they totally summed up my impressions. Many are disappointed that Sony didn't "hit 'em back." Sony doesn't have to. They showed that they are going to be delivering some serious games!

I was hoping that Bungie would deliver a swift kick to MS's balls with a new IP or even the return of Marathon.

sorry for the double posts. I'm posting at work and sometimes it doesn't add my comment on the first attempt.

Superb!!..
Weapons and environments have a late 40's and early 50's Art Deco feel.
Grims remind me of the creatures from the Shamalayan movie "Signs"

I noticed this on the PSN trailer last night. It's about a half second (if that) at the end.

the zombie pic is new, the 2 soldier pics are old and the rest are 3d renders. not that impressive of a "concept art gallery" if you ask me.
game looks interesting tho.
