E3's greatest trailer: Duke Nukem Trilogy

E3 had some pretty cool trailers this year, but Duke Nukem Trilogy's definitely has to be our favorite. We went in hoping for a little bit of gameplay footage. Something to give an indication of what the game will actually look or play like, perhaps? Instead we sat through four minutes of the ~~worst~~ best trailer ever created. To be fair, we're going to be watching this trailer over and over for the rest of our lives. Whether the games actually come out or not, we're entertained. Enjoy the trailer!

this looks like pretty interesting gameplay... So, do I actually play as the flashing nuke symbol? Or is this some kind of innovative new rhythm-based interface, I wonder? In any case, color me intrigued!
btw, KILLER tunes, man...get me PUMPED!!!!

This easily wins the award for the most repititive and cheapest trailer ever created. You somehow feel like stuck in an endless-loop consisting of something like 8 sprites moving and spinning.
But the music is absolutely great, especially for fans of the series.

I wonder if they'll make an award dedicated to trailers like this that showed no effort what so ever...

If they did you would have to do pretty bad to top this one.

3D realms was still relevant when? 2000? And they call E3 irrelevant...

That was friggin' awesome! Though it was about 4 minutes longer than it really had to be.

I think I could've summed that up with a still shot.. forget moving pictures.

you have got to be joking....that piece of shit is a presentation....even my 5 year old brother could make a better one......are they realy serious.....3 game.....i hope they deliver.....but knowing 3drealms......it takes the 13 years for a game....so probably we will have this when psp 3 gets out....lol

That's just sweet! Their marketing did great. Think a little: why they showed that mediocre trailer at E3?

Can't wait to play. But I think the gameplay and graphics will be just the same as the old Duke Nukem.

Wow that was terrible, it would have been nice if they would have told us the names of the games, or had shown us an atomic bomb exploding several times, or at the least shown us a still picture of Duke Nukem moving throughout various parts of the screen shooting his gun. Or maybe they could have had the symbol flashing several times on the screen, but like synchronized with some awesome music. That would have made a cool trailer! Oh wait...
