Eurogamer had a long chat with David Reeves at the SCEE event yesterday, and discussed Europe's "day and date" releases for the PS3's upcoming library for the rest of the year. He also mentions the 2009 lineup, mentioned that "coming in spring will be
inFamous and
MAG, and God of War [3] will be coming later in 2009," giving a vague indication of when we can expect to see the newly announced
MAG. Something that wasn't mentioned at the
Sony Press Conference.

MAG and
God of War 3 all appearing in 2009, the year is shaping up quite nicely. But will they all really make it? And will
MAG really launch with such a ridiculous name as
Massive Action Game? We'll find out in a year.

agreed. i was saddened to hear GT5 was delayed to 2010, been holding out on buying GT5P but now i just dont know what. spring 2009 means around early 2010 in my books.

Further to this, if they were that close to release, it inspires me with no confidence that we have only seen CG up to this point and no gameplay or ingame engine stuff.

There is NO WAY that MAG will come out Spring 09. I would bet a week's pay on it. If it were that far along, they would have shown game play footage and not the pre-rendered stuff they showed.
MAG, like GOW 3, will be out October/November. Bank on it.

But I'm sure it will be amazing , if these games were being made on the 360 , they would have been released a while ago , I think the reason alot of games get delayed alot is that they keep trying to use more and more of the cells power so that there game stands out above the rest . Considering that this game has been in development for a while and will probably get delayed , then yes , it will really look like that .

There are plenty of games coming out. The problem is 360fangirls, can not get over themselves. RS2, LBP, Monster Madness, Eden, R&C just to name a few. Also like I said in a previous post it doesnt matter what you few think about home, it is going to take off whether you like it or not.
I know the reason PS3 is getting the hate because 360fangirls are so used to being in the spotlight and, the times are shifting away from your console. It is becoming more balanced to where they are happy parties on both sides of next-gen consoles.

Remember that boring legal term 'Grand Theft Auto' and how this was transformed by a one little known game? Keep the name. Polish the game up more, integrate other technology. No matter what, KEEP THE NAME and release it during 2009 and simultaneous worldwide release. (Yes that means the EU and UK at the SAME time as US and Jap.)

LOL i can't believe someone used Monster Madness as an example of PS3 games to look foreword to. You are really itching for games to play.
If anything, the xbox "fangirls" just got more glory with FF13 coming to the 360 so I don't any shift in the console war.
Sadly when I wanna play a game its for the 360 and when i wanna show off a high def movie the ps3 is used.
If and when this game does come out, and its able to have this many simultaneous users on, it will be impressive.

I highly doubt that. SCEE always fudges up when it comes to proper dates. inFAMOUS is definately confirmed to be coming out early 2009. But I wouldn't expect M.A.G. until early 2010. And God of War III is definately a late 2010 release!

1. Must be exclusive between both CONSOLES, screw PC. I have a strong gaming rig with a 9800GTX but most people do not. And the debate is between 360 and PS3... PC and that crappy Wii dont count.
2. Lets talk about whats coming for the rest of the year. Screw the past, 360 wins in that category anyway but gamers care about whats coming not what came out last year. And we dont know a COMPLETE list of whats coming for next year for either console. Afterall, this is "The Year of PS3!"

you listed Fable 2 twice.
Far Cry 2, Saints Row 2 and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 are all on the PS3 as well.
i can't be bothered to list a bunch of games and decide which ones people may or may not want to buy. i listed the ones i want to buy earlier in this thread (though they weren't all exclusive)
just go to http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html if you have an xbox or http://xbox360.ign.com/index/release.html if you have a PS3. if you can't find games on those lists that you'd like to buy (if you had that system) then you are not a gamer. period.
the argument that the "PS3 has no games" was valid in the first year of the console. it's true for the first year of any console. it's just not a valid argument anymore.

i can't believe someone listed haze in there to prove a point. i own a 360, i must admit i want to buy a ps3 for mgs4, and killzone 2 is looking real good. Anyway, MAG does have a nice concept to it, i just wonder if this ever sees the light of day considering no gameplay was shown at e3
