Pyramid Head and Robbie the Rabbit in Silent Hill: Homecoming
Fan favorites Pyramid Head and Robbie the Rabbit will apparently be making appearances in the upcoming sequel Silent Hill: Homecoming. Joystiq spotted Pyramid Head at E3 and even has photographic prove, as seen above. The character is meant to be a manifestation of guilt (though one could say all the enemies in Silent Hill fall in that category, but that's a story for a fansite ... ) and has only appeared so far in Silent Hill 2 and the theatrical movie, but his role here is unknown. Robbie the Rabbit first appeared in Silent Hill 3 as the creepy mascot of the amusement park the player is trapped in, as well as Silent Hill: The Room as a doll in Eileen's room. We also have six new screenshots, with all the screwed-up goodness you expect from the franchise.

American devs working on JP games are a production for failure even if you bring in 1 guy from the JP team its just failure.

You, sir, are a downer.
I'm very excited for this.

Please dont let this be a game based on the movie... why do we have the pyramid head? maybe the main character is cousin of James...why not make another "look-like-pyramid head-but it isnt" like they did with the butcher from SHzero....they need to go to imagination land

Well, if you read anything about the plot you'd know that it's entirely original and has nothing to do with the film's storyline at all. The only similarity is that the team took inspiration from the film's version of the transition to the "Otherworld"

Considering how terrible this game looks it is a good idea to bring back some iconic characters. It needs something to give us a feeling of nostalgia, to remind us that Silent Hill was once the best horror game ever.

please elaborate on what makes this game look so fucking terrible. I swear people just love to say things without even thinking.

It looks bad because it's too crisp. The graininess is too low. Plus, the enemies seem to pop out and stand apart from their environment too much. They're too clean. Look at the legs of grey crawler guy on the ground here: http://playstation.joystiq.com/photos/silent-hill-5/772816/ . Too distinct and well defined. He needs to blend better.
Pyramid head doesn't belong in this title nor does it in the movie. That is a personal demon of James. It's his unique manifestation. Unless James is also in Silent Hill in this title, or the story explains how James' individuality is making itself known, there's no reason for that manifestation to appear except for marketing and milking it.
