Sweet Elefunk is out. I'm so there. BTW anyone know if Elefunk supports trophies? I don't have any games that support the trophy system and I didn't want to purchase a game just for that.
Brodie-san @ Jul 18th 2008 4:52AM
No trophies for Elefunk at the moment. Not sure about the future though.

Does anyone know when Europe are getting Elefunk ?
Stoo @ Jul 18th 2008 4:39AM
We already have, in the UK at least. It was updated yesterday, the Naruto demo is up as well.
Brodie-san @ Jul 18th 2008 4:51AM
Ah, thanks. I didn't see it.
Brodie-san @ Jul 21st 2008 8:50AM
I know the US store got a demo. Did the EU store get this?
I had a look and couldn't find it though, once again, I could be just missing something.
Thanks
skam @ Jul 18th 2008 4:41AM
I'm in Aus and Elefunk Full Game is up....no demo though!! I don't see why they can have the full game up and not the demo especially when a demo exists.
and on that, ALL games should have a demo.
ModderFokker @ Jul 18th 2008 5:34AM
Yesterday i paid 7.99 EUROS for Elefunk....
thats like 654271 US $ .
Honoustly thats like 12.68$ ...come on guys (*&(*&%^&%*&$%@#%&^*
cduran01 @ Jul 18th 2008 7:51AM
Must we go through this with you guys over seas every time?
You can't do a direct currency conversion between the US and any other country. You have to take into account other factors in account. Cost of living, the fact that Americans have to pay for healthcare while EU gets it free, differences in local taxes (US prices never include tax while in EU most countries include some form of tax in the price), difference in wages (in US minimum wage is a little over $5). In the EU people make on average more money than people in US.
silverwolf761 @ Jul 18th 2008 9:49AM
@ cduran01:
Canadian PSN Prices were adjusted to be basically the same as the US prices....
P @ Jul 18th 2008 3:36PM
cduran01:
Healthcare, cost of living and similar excuses have absolutely zero relevence when it comes to selling an identical digital item. Similarly weather, how nice it would be as a holiday location, or other things that have zero influence.
American tax does not provide them free healthcare, and similar free things we take for granted in Europe, and so our TAX is higher for it, however once tax is taken into account and anything which *actually* influences their costs, then after such things they *should* be equally priced.
If something costs $10USD, converted its around 6.50€, considering the tax differences and higher cost of digital distribution (server/bw costs) then it shouldnt be more than 8.00€
Considering Elefunk is $5.00, for the developers to make exactly the same money from European customers they'd only need to charge around 4.00€
However charging twice that means they're milking us, for no other reason than pure greed.
I hate it when people compare the cost of something in Europe to something in North America because the bare figures make things very flattering, and typically if you calculate things properly the difference isnt much, however your arguement is absolutely pathetic, all but 1 point (no included tax on USD prices) has zero relevence to anything here. Charging customers double AFTER considering all aspects, thats just a joke, and i'll certainly be staying well away from Elefunk and any other games which price themselves in such an offensive way to European gamers.
We're always going to be ripped off because they know they can, and i'll allow some over-charging, 25-50% increase is one thing, but double is completely unacceptable.

Rayman.. now THAT'S a PS1 game.:)
Rodrigo @ Jul 18th 2008 9:23AM
that rayman character looks like a wii character with no legs or arms lol.
Concat @ Jul 18th 2008 11:16AM
Kind of embarrasing that a PS1 game can trump the graphics of Nintendo's latest dream machine. Ok, that's a bit of a stretch... but seriously. WiiMusic? AMIRITE?
Jack @ Jul 18th 2008 12:49PM
Its good to remember the Rayman before the days of yearly waggle-ware.
DeforMAKulizer @ Jul 18th 2008 9:33AM
I really hope elefunk gets some kind of trophy support... Rayman is a great plus... Lets hope they add more PS1 great hits...
TROPHIES WANT MORE TROPHIES!!!!!
golden sapphire @ Jul 18th 2008 10:24AM

Devin @ Jul 18th 2008 11:30AM
Elefunk rocks! It's only $4.99! The Naruto demo kicks major a$$ as well! Good job Sony. Keep'm coming...
JaffaBoy @ Jul 18th 2008 2:26PM
This seems to be a change from the norm for Sony...
$4.99 in US = £4.99 in UK
Come on Sony I thought you guys had stopped ripping off us Europeans. £2.49 = will buy, £4.99 = shove it!!
obtusegoose @ Jul 18th 2008 6:35PM
Been playing Elefunk for a while. It really needs a little more polish. When your score is tallied at the end of the level, the numbers jump around quite a lot because the whole score is "right justified". They should put each digit in a "fixed" position. (when you play it you'll see what I mean) It just looks sloppy. Also the "girder" score takes too long to tally. You end up having to press X to bypass it, when you shouldn't have to. Major problem: there are only 2 zoom levels. It really limits how you play. You should be able to zoom manually to any level you want. When you scroll through the "pieces" in your toolbox, even the ones that have "0" quantity are highlighted. This makes no sense. Why would you need to select a piece that you can't place? It just wastes time. Those pieces should be grayed out like they do it on Lemmings. Also it seems my high scores aren't showing up on the High Scores page. Aside from all the glitches, it's still a fun game. Overall I'd give Elefunk a B-.
