Shocking announcement at DKS3713 from Square Enix

In an interview with 1UP, co-producers Shinji Hashimoto and Yoshinori Kitase for Final Fantasy XIII spoke about the upcoming RPG. They reiterated that FFXIII will not be delayed in Japan due to the 360 version -- Square will complete the PS3 version first then port the game to the 360 during localization for America. The most cryptic statement though, is when Hashimoto is asked about Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, he replies "You can look forward to the upcoming invite-only fan event DKS3713, where we'll have a major announcement that will shock the fans in attendance."
What do you guys think? What major announcement could possibly "shock" fans at this point? We'll find out more on August 2nd or 3rd during DKS3713!

Playstation Lifestyle posted this news a week or two ago, and an update a couple days ago saying that they can confirm it's not a remake of FFVII. It doesn't rule out a new game, or something, and it's possible their source lied to them to bring down hopes a little, but just to be safe, don't expect it... You're only going to be disappointed if it turns out that PSLS is correct.

Yeah im guessing a FFVII story game, similar to Crisis Core. Think about it, if they mess up a FFVII remake they will get lynched. Crisis Core was a pretty good concept, kind of like "Final Fantasy VII-2" or something... honestly I would go for that.

It's possible, but it'd have to be for the PS3, which aims for HD games. Putting those games on an HDTV as they are now would tire your eyes so badly you couldn't play them.

I just hope the PS3 version of FFXIII when it comes to the US does not get delayed because of the 360 version. I really do not want to have to wait longer so the 360 fans do not get angry.
Also FFVII is the only thing I want plus may be a FFVIII remake too.

But that does not mean we're getting it, especially anytime before 2010.
They have lots of experience remaking games (and have remade all of them up to VII 10x over) so its bound to happen and i dont doubt its awesomness.
VII's prequel, advent children, and the mock remake of the intro make a lot of the work done already, it WOULD be stupid not to do it.
