Challenge yourself with this week's Monster Hunter DLC

This week's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G DLC features two different quests in the same training ground: Hipknock Dairantou and Challenge Quest 09. Bird creatures known as Hipknocks that have the ability to put you to sleep will be your opponent in the first mission while a group of Ranposu and a single Diablos become your foes in the second.

andwhyisit @ Jul 21st 2008 1:43AM
There are people who use the translation patch to play it in English.
Actually I wouldn't mind importing 2ndG just to see what all the fuss is about.
andwhyisit @ Jul 21st 2008 2:32AM
Oh and this site covers the psp across all regions.

Just rename this place to www.pspfanboy-san.jp and be done with it.

The where would you get all the info on the occasional juicy things that come out in the US like GoW?
IGN? Gamespot?
Have fun...

There are a few japanese people who read this site, as I'v seen them comment things like, "I live in Japan and it is cheaper here....etc." Also, english is taught to the japanese at a very young age, so almost all of them do know it.

"Also, english is taught to the japanese at a very young age, so almost all of them do know it."
Hahaha you're so naive!
strike @ Jul 21st 2008 10:26AM
I dont see how it makes me naive

Well, I guess sometimes it feels like, for people outside Asia reading this site (U.S. or U.K.,etc), it feels like a tease. I know it's not PSPfanboy's fault that Japanese games stay in Japan but it still feels like a tease, " Here's a bunch of great PSP games you will never play, na-na".
strike @ Jul 21st 2008 10:31AM
If psp fanboy didnt report on these things, we'd only get news a few times a week. We would also not get any news on games which have not been announced for the U.S or EU, like dissidia, despite the fact that it most probably will come out. Maybe some of us actually import these games.
Alien @ Jul 21st 2008 12:23PM
Wow ... al that Japan news bashing ... why ? At least the PSP is #1 in Japan , and that makes it future proof for most owners ...
ultra lucky cat @ Jul 21st 2008 1:54PM
At least there'll be alot of Downloadable Quests available when 2ndG finally gets to US/europe. :)
bryansurvive @ Jul 21st 2008 3:03PM
im sorry i wasnt trying to start no drama just curious. hello everyone im from usa and have only visit my countrys in south america. i wish to one day visit japan or asia itself when im rich. anyway, thanks for clearing that up.
cafecito @ Jul 21st 2008 3:12PM
The ones to hate aren't PSP fanboy, or the japanese... but western publishers and pirates instead. Western publishers for not bringing any games to this side of the world, and pirates for making it unprofitable.
andwhyisit @ Jul 21st 2008 8:28PM
And SCEA for until now not giving a f**k.

I blame Sony more than anyone else, really.
For one, they need to set an example to the 3rd party publishers. But they haven't. They released one big PSP title this year (GoW), and wont release another until 2009 (Resistance). If Sony won't put behind behind PSP game development, why should third parties? Yes, Sony puts out other games, but most are pretty cheap (Loco Roco, Patapon, Buzz) or half-hearted rehashes (pretty much their sports titles and even Hot Shots Golf 2). There should be 4-5 top notch, AAA+ games from Sony a year.
For another, there are ways to get third parties to publish games. Cutting the royalty rate, for one. Do co-publishing deals for another.
And while they are offering more PSN games, they still haven't come up with a way to buy games from your PSP. It's a hassle to use a PC to get them (and probably most PSP owners don't have a PS3).
