Uncharted and Warhawk Home spaces snapshots

Hype for Home may be pretty dead right now, but there are still a few aspects of the service that intrigue us, like Game Spaces. A couple of these were shown off in trailer form at Sony's E3 Press Conference, but we had a chance to have an in-depth look at the Uncharted and Warhawk spaces with a Sony representative. Most of the presentation was seen through the lens of a camera, so check out the gallery for plenty of snapshots.
The Uncharted Game Space takes the form of Sully's bar, complete with "photos" of characters from the game on the walls. The space is made up of several rooms and rull of relics and mounted animal heads. There's a chance that something in there might be indicative of where the series is headed (a diver's helmet? Uncharted 2: Quest for Atlantis confirmed?)
The Warhawk space is similar, featuring assets from the game. The best things about these Game Spaces are the interactive elements. Uncharted has a locked door with a keypad input. The number can be found by carefully looking around and this will open another room for you to explore. There's also an Uncharted-inspired platforming mini-game. The Warhawk space has a sandtable for you and your clan to plan out your method for the upcoming match before jumping into a game.

They shouldn't even bother bringing this out, I'm so sick of hearing all this hype, when its not even that cool...
OOOOH, look you can design your own apartment, and add things that you get from games... and do a whole bunch of other stuff that you could NEVER do in real life.... /sarcasm
Eggy @ Jul 21st 2008 1:03PM
Then why do you bother to post here?
e.Missark @ Jul 21st 2008 12:26PM
I love Uncharted, but for the next game I want Naughty Dog to really consider the story. The story for the first was not very original. Instead of doing something based on Atlantis (an idea which has been beaten to death) I want them to think of something unique. The gameplay and visuals are great, now all it needs is an epic, original and engrossing story.
StaticKevin @ Jul 21st 2008 6:50PM
I agree to an extent, but remember, the 'El Dorado' story was beaten to death too, and Uncharted really pulled that off brilliantly in my opinion.

I'm in the Beta for Home and although I don't use it very much I am excited for everyone to get on so that all of these features are available. All thats in the closed Beta is the game room, Theatre, home space(two home spaces actually), shopping area, and an outside area called Home Square. It would be nice to log on and actually find more than one person wondering around too... if theres anyone at all.

Mo @ Jul 21st 2008 12:30PM
I think they need to get over it and just open the beta...
is there a good reason not to?
e.Missark @ Jul 21st 2008 12:32PM
Why was my other comment deleted? Was it off-topic? Would it be better if I would have said: Home looks great and Uncharted 2 needs an original story not Atlantis.
I will gladly reserve judgment if you just tell me the reasoning behind the dissapearance of my previous comment.
e.Missark @ Jul 21st 2008 12:34PM
Lol. Disregard my last comment. These refresh rates make it difficult to know whether a comment is posted or not. One minute its there the next it is gone.
Senecal @ Jul 21st 2008 12:54PM
Yeah, lmao, that's what I was thinking as I was reading your second comment. I had that trouble before, sux.

"There's a chance that something in there might be indicative of where the series is headed (a diver's helmet? Uncharted 2: Quest for Atlantis confirmed?)"
Guys, the game started with an undersea dive when he brought up Drake's coffin.
drdre74 @ Jul 21st 2008 1:50PM
Yeah Im glad you said that. People are already jumping the gun just because of the helmet. Im ready for this just to have some new Uncharted content. Im mad that I have to play the game all over just to get the trophies for stuff that I would hard to get the first time.
Eddie @ Jul 21st 2008 12:52PM
That's awesome. But Sony, really, what I want is for you to make sure I get trophies for these and other games like MGS4 ASAP!!
Please?
Karycam @ Jul 21st 2008 1:15PM
I have to agree my friend I have to agree~!!!!!!

"The Warhawk space has a sandtable for you and your clan to plan out your method for the upcoming match..."
At least you won't be able to see the dust that's settled on the sandtable from its non-usage.
Brute @ Jul 21st 2008 1:23PM
Looks great, too bad they wont release it.
Ben @ Jul 21st 2008 1:30PM
There's a diving helmet because they were diving in the very first scene in Uncharted. They got the little book by diving for it.
bkalasin @ Jul 21st 2008 3:11PM
Home = Yawn.

The beta will be open later this year. Show up or don't. If it IS lame, then we can wonder what the wait was for. If not, are you gonna retract? Of course not.
louiswar07 @ Jul 21st 2008 3:30PM
Hey Jem,wouldn't it be full instead of rull? "and rull of relics"
ChuckJ @ Jul 21st 2008 5:16PM
Wait wait ....
Let me get this straight. THIS is what everyone (or a handful of people) is waiting for???? This is what people are getting excited about???
If it gets delayed for 3 more years, who really cares? This is nothing to gloat about nor get excited about. Sony needs to can this crap and work on something more constructive.
Marc @ Jul 21st 2008 7:26PM
does anyone know when home is coming out?
please reply!!
Dennis @ Aug 25th 2008 10:09PM
