American PSN update for July 24th

As we walk through the scorching heat of the midday sun through the desert that is this year's Summer game drought we find ourselves in the shadow of a falling object. Looking up, we see a care package from the Sony overlords, full of tasty treats to quench our thirst and keep us going for another week. And wow, have they delivered this week. Playable content coming out of our ears and the price of some classic PSN games lowered to just $5. Here's the full release list:

Sony hasn't declared any trophy support for Siren till now... Though i think they will patch it...

damn, sorry to hear man. There's a lesson to learn in that, NEVER buy PSN titles just days before Thursday's.

It's the PSP Remake. It offers 16:9 Widescreen play, upped sprites, and also an option to download different background tracks online. I think that's all it really offers at this point. >_>; That, and the fact you're getting an awesome rhythm game in hand held form.

I liked it but the controls are really jerky. and the auto aim throws you off because you don't have to do a thing.

I just finished the eden demo... it says you need to buy the full game after 5 spectra. Unfortunatley that isnt an option and i am stuck with being able to only play the title screen. Anyone else finish?

I beat it about an hour and a half ago

no big deal though. Just go into the Saved Data Utility and delete your progress to start all over again!

it's a small price to pay to keep playing it over and over till it comes out next week

i really like the pixel junk eden demo. when you see gameplay for it it looks pretty easy and peacful but its actually quite challenging the music is still great though. i might just have to pick up pj monsters and pain now.

I'm intrigued by Siren, but so far I haven't been able to find any reviews about it in order to make the decision of whether to buy it or not. PixelJunk is definitely a must have at this price. Might as well go all the way and get the expansion pack with the price at $5. Haven't had a chance to play Eden yet will probably do that later after I get bored of doing sidequests in Crisis Core.

Pain.... I don't get why this game is supposed to be fun for longer than a few minutes. Guess i'll have to try out the multiplayer to see if that makes a difference. PJM is fantastic though, I've had my PS3 since launch and hadn't really bought any games off the store until recently with Stardust and Elefunk, added Siren, Pain and PJM to the collection today. Pretty excited about Eden next week, the demo is pretty fun.

Does anyone know what the green and pink blobs are for on the pixeljunk eden demo title screen? If I get up to them, do they lead anywhere? I hope it's something super secret and cool! Maybe if I did it with more than one grimp I could get up there.

Anybody who bought the full Siren, is it worth it? I played the demo and it was definitely interesting. The controls were a bit wacky and waaaaay too much black (had to keep using the map to be sure i was actually heading along a path...).

PixelJunk Eden. I cannot wait for this game. Seriously, the demo is amazing. Controls definitely take some getting used to, but the game is really fun once you do.

Picked up PJM finally. Not sure on the others, tho. Bowling is tempting since I really enjoy the bowling on WiiSports.
Bought a few Rock Band songs. Pretty good week this week!
