This ad from PlayStation shows fashionable Japanese females getting together for an Ad-Hoc game of the popular PSP exclusive. Don't you wish you could join them? (Also, why does a game as successful as Monster Hunter need to advertise?)

The fact that something is successful doesn't mean you should stop advertising it. In fact, it means you should advertise it even more and expand your market.

Well I have met Gamer girls in the past in the xbox live and in Comic stores and is pretty much like talking with dudes or in this case dudettes.I had 2 gamer girls in my friends list but I rarely play with people in my friend list let alone talk with them.

Hum... My girlfriend is a gamer... Not that strange no, only if in US... I'm in Brazil and i know plenty of Gamer Girls, my ex girl plays her Wii and DS, and my girl is more hardcore plays my PS3 and PSP....

@Gaucho : I agree , as much as I want I dont see no female gamers where I live . I dont know about you all but the "female gaming market" expansion that Nintendo mentioned cant be sen where I live ...
But maybe its just for Nintendo consoles :P

I think girls play videogames more casually than boys.
In fact there isn't much games for the female public.
The ones i know who like to play enjoy racing games or solitaire...

Am a girl, and am a huntress. I play MHP2ndG now, and HR9. I use Dual swords, Greatsword and Hammer as my main weapons now. I do solo hunt a lot ^_^
I sure hope there will be more huntress.
