Conceptualizing the Home space for Buzz!
What would the Home space for Buzz! look like? Well, that's the task Cumron Ashtiani was given to figure out. The designer took more than just the visual look of the popular PlayStation trivia game -- no, he added a great level of interactivity which adds to the game experience. Within the Buzz! Home space, players will be able to take part of trivia games en masse. A question appears on a virtual screen and four choices appear. Players must move their avatars over the correct answer space or experience certain death!
Adding different kinds of gameplay to Home certainly looks intriguing. If only it would release to the public at large ... then we'd be able to try out these innoative ideas for ourselves.

no not there ah home beta is pure garbage
Senecal @ Jul 28th 2008 1:39PM
Unless this just became available today it's like the other spaces we have seen thus far and ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO THE BETA TESTERS. It would be nice if they did something with HOME, the beta is worthless at this point because all changes are taking place behind closed doors..

Like i said it before on Gamefaqs.com and the PSblog ....Home will not come out this year like they said it was going to ..
i learn to not to trust sony's word on home any more .

Is Buzz worth getting if I have a gf likes trivia based games?
Mark @ Jul 28th 2008 1:54PM
It's solid, some complaints that it's not like the PS2 version, but then it's not the same as the PS2 version!!!
Great buy, considering the online quiz packs, and user created quizzes.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to look around for some deals on the game.

What Sony needs to do is start meeting deadlines. All business works like this: you are given a deadline so you better meet it if you want to keep your job.
I understand they want to make sure they do it right but it feels like they are not paying attention to the deadlines they set for themselves.

HOME is one of there flagships, and they keep changing management. So, this title has changed it's goals since it was first conceived, and thus there release date has too. It is a very ambitious project and needs a lot of companies to support it to be any good, but I'm confident it will be worth the wait. Especially since it will be free...

if I am paying dominos to bring me a pizza it better be in 30 minuites or less.
If they are going to bring a free pizza, they can drop by anytime they want.
Averna @ Jul 28th 2008 10:30PM
Exactly. It should be hard to complain about free stuff, but Sony are making it difficult not to.
Fair enough that it gets delays and overhauls and all that stuff, but Sony made the mistake, as they always do, of showing it off waay before they should have and then using it as a selling tool, which it is STILL too early to start using it as a means to get people to buy a playstation.
"We have this great community tool that allows you to interact with your friends in a totally different and unique way! We dont currently know when you will be able to use this feature."
Im a Sony fan, always have been, but there is a reason Sony have a reputation with these bait-and-switch tactics. My excitment for the Home app has faltered, but who knows they might get me back on board when its at a presentable level of production... they did it to me with Killzone 2!

Funny thing is. Follow the link for more pics and some text. The pictures are labeled as August 2007 and the artist says it should be in "soon"... Now, a year later, not even Home in sight... but thiss will add some use for home to me and especially enhance my Buzz-buy, if my buy entitles me to participate in there, which i think as they promoted Home-features for Buzz...
Also, there is supposed to be 64 Players support...
the_culture @ Jul 28th 2008 2:03PM
@kevin
I just checked my Home Beta and there weren't any updates, so I "walked" over to Jack Treton's place and asked if he knew where the Buzz place was. He didn't know so we both "walked" over to Kaz's spot... but he was "home."
meh @ Jul 28th 2008 2:13PM
