ESRB: Prince of Persia Classic heading to PSN

The ESRB has always been a reliable source of game leaks, and we doubt this case is any different. PSN is already a showcase to stellar PS3 exclusive downloadables, and getting XBLA's best games on our service only makes it even better. See the original XBLA trailer after the cut.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fascinating.
Now where the hell are the RPGs?
Mr.ESC @ Aug 4th 2008 4:39AM
*facepalm.
This is friggin POP and you want a god damn RPG? Are you thick? are you retarded? This is the god damn Prince of Persia (before Ubi screw it).
deusmecha @ Aug 4th 2008 8:12AM
You're absolutely right, Mr.ESC. Sweet merciful Jesus, I can't believe how wrong it was of me to like genres other than platformers. How dare I have a mind of my own!
Well, you don't have to worry anymore Mr.ESC. I have seen the light, good sir!!
Suck a dick, bro.

Little late, doncha think?
Besides, the demo wasn't enought to warrant a $10 purchase anyway. $5 is good, though.
Hashbrown Hunter @ Jul 28th 2008 5:16PM
It's really late considering the fact that the new Prince of Persia franchise is about to launch with the new game this fall and the styles don't match up at all.
Kodros @ Jul 28th 2008 5:55PM
"Little late, doncha think?"
Yeah, darn, you lucky Xbox360 owners got to play it back when the game was only out for 18 years.
The_Punisher @ Jul 28th 2008 8:00PM
That's PSWii60 owner to you :)
Besdies, it was updated. Not enough for me to buy it, but it WAS updated.
xD
stargateheaven @ Jul 28th 2008 4:56PM
This looks like fun! Probably will pick it up :) i remember it being hard though...
Laurens Holst @ Jul 28th 2008 5:12PM
It looks very nice!
Btw, you can already play the original Prince of Persia on the PS2 (albeit with non-updated graphics) if you have Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (it is an unlockable extra).

Am I the only one that doesn't think the ESRB "has always been a reliable source of game leaks"? Wasn't Street Fighter Alpha found on there seven months ago, and .. where is it? Wipeout XL? Super Puzzle Figher 2 Turbo (not HD)? Castlevania Chronicles? Buster Bros Collection? All of these have been seen on the ESRB site for the PS3/PSP, but where are they?
The Japanese PSN recently celebrated passing the 200 mark for titles on the PSN, and I just can't help but wonder if the American PSN is ever going to catch up. I know that there can be complications in getting titles on the PSN, and that it's supposedly not very lucrative, but I can't help but feel that it'd be one huge way to generate excitement for the system and a relatively easy way to appease customers.
katz @ Jul 28th 2008 6:31PM
It's about F*king time!
Since I'll probably (scratch that previous word) never have a 360 I was beginning to wonder if I'd get to play my old favorite in fancy new threads.
Downloadable - yes, but I like it, too.
Snowman @ Jul 28th 2008 8:06PM
Hope they get the price right, 10 bucks is a bit much for a game that is really only 1 hour long....but I really did like the graphics on the 360 version.
Alex @ Jul 28th 2008 9:41PM
OMG THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!
I am the master of prince of persia, I can beat both games in about 20 minutes each.
This news is the best Ive had all day
Dakoina @ Jul 29th 2008 1:55AM
I'm still very glad they're releasing it! I remember being angry when it did not came to ps3 :(
It's nice to see lots of psn games coming out sooner or later :)
Nathanical @ Jul 29th 2008 7:27AM
awesome, ill admit, this game in its original form, is still the first and ONLY prince of persia game ive ever played! used to play it all the time... untill Flashback came out on the Megadrive(genesis to all you yanks) and absolutely pwnd it! day one buy!
Neuromancer @ Jul 29th 2008 1:57PM
I have this on the 360, don't get too excited. Sure the graphics are nice but they really screwed up the timing of the combat, making this game way more difficult than it should be (or used to be, since I played the original.)
