LittleBigPlanet takes multiple Best of E3 awards
G4 gave its award for Best PS3 Game to inFAMOUS ... while it gave away top accolades to LittleBigPlanet as the best game of E3. However, Gametrailers chose to disagree with the rest of the bunch though, calling Resident Evil 5 their Best of E3.
If it wasn't apparant already, these repeated nods from critics should make one thing very clear: LBP is awesome -- we can't wait for all of you to get your hands on it too!

RE5 is nothing but a tarted up RE4, but with next gen politically incorrect zombie action. At least LBP is bringing something new to the table.
Did they pick RE5 because it had the best trailer?

why making awards for games that are not released yet? or for demos?... i agree with gametrailers calling RE5 best of this awards... becuase its coming for ps3 and 360... but if youre asking for ps3 games... maybe LBP deserves this demo award

G4TV is owned by Microsoft, somehow. I'm literally shocked that they gave props to ANYTHING Sony exclusive. They run 10 day "OMG HALO 3 IS COMING OUT" countdowns but MGS4 is just a blip on their radar.
Then again maybe it's only 12 year old kids that still watch it.

Insominac Games and Blu-Ray kept the PS3's chin barely above water. And now it's time for a Killer Exclusive Game. No only will LBP appeal to hardcore gamers but I think the casual gamers will look at sack boy ( and girl ) and want to migrate to the system. Maybe Sony should have Mm make a online lobby for everyones sack people and call it..... HOME!

Gametrailers is known to favour HEAVILY towards the 360. Anyone see the metal gear review? They gave the story I believe an 8.4 and gave Halo 3 a 9.5 in story....
Not trying to be a fanboy, but come on. FPS arent really known for good stories. But there are ALWAYS exceptions (bioshock)

Whomever says Halo 3 is overrated has not played it or just doesn't like FPS.
Halo 3 is one of the best FPS on the market at the moment. COD might have sold a gazillion copies but Halo is the most consistent FPS game there is. Period.
I'm not even going to step into physics engine and features. Lets just say it blows the competition out the water. It's not that its better than all FPS, it's the combination of features.

Yes this game was showcased quite a bit. SONY knows how important this game is for them. It probably is their biggest game this year. I know hardcore gamers may not believe that but it's these type of games that broaden the consumer base and make the PS3 much more popular.

that is actually a really good point catdogburger. i never saw it in that light before. i was ready to accept that the 360 had a better e3 cuz of that, but then the ps3 is getting it too. if sony had the better e3 than 360, then the news of ff13 not being exclusive just made their e3 not as good, but doesnt bring them under the 360 (just my opinion if ppl consider sony having a good e3)

Not trying to dis PS3 or 360 here but these are the facts and problems.
MS likes to talk about features/games that are coming online within a year.
Sony likes to talk about features/games that may come out between now and a year from now.
This creates a problem for Sony. Because a lot of their content is so far off people just can't be expected to get excited over all their stuff.
Take God of War: I know it's a good IP but there are many that don't know this. So showing a very short CG movie is most definitively not going to get the crowd hyped. Not because the game sucks but because there isn't really anything there.
Take MAG for example this is the reaction I had: "yeah yeah.. thats a good concept, online, a gazillion players..., the game doesn't even have a name yet? can we see gameplay footage? release date?"... And thats the game Sony wanted us to be pumped about, they capped off their keynote with that.
My friend thinks Sony had a better keynote and I disagreed because MS delivered surprises that made the crowd go "oooohhh" even if one of those few surprises was already on the competing system.
Although I wonder how big of a surprise you would get if Cliff came on stage during Sony's keynote and announced GoW2 on PS3 this Novemver. See what I mean?

Just because it doesnt have guns and violence and sex doesnt mean its just for kids. Its one of those games like mario that will appeal to men, women and kids. I dont think young kids will be able to do as much with it with level creating so there is good reason to look forward to this game. It looks amazing and is original.

I'm kinda confused.
Kotaku put out the same report. They put out the nominees for each award.
Joystiq and PS3fanboy put out results.
But from what I understand the results aren't out yet.
There are a total of 36 media outlets that have to put out their results for the awards to be handed out. As of right now I can only find 2 at the source of this article.

I think that it is funny that they didn't even mention the ign awards that were handed out. maybe its because they gave game of the show to fallout 3 instead of LBP, and more awards were handed to the 360 as far as exclusive titles go.
