More The Last Guy details emerge from the PlayStation Blog
Want more gameplay footage of The Last Guy? Check out the video above. The game still looks bizarrely awesome. Especially with the levels based on real world loca-- wait, is that Trafalgar Square? The PlayStation Blog contains even more information on the title, including some background "story" involving monsters, aliens and purple ray beams. Sold.
Gameplay seems pretty simple. Collect the survivors and desposit them in the Escape Zones, while avoiding the aforementioned zombies and monsters and utilising your heat-vision and any power ups you may come across. The PSN keeps getting better and better as more unique titles like this one become available. We're definitely looking forward to The Last Guy's release.

Well you gotta give it to Sony, they really are delivering "unique" experiences through PSN titles.

Can i repopulate the earth with the ladies on this game?
Nineteen88 @ Jul 31st 2008 8:58AM
This game shows how sony is taking risks by offering different titles - to the point of exoticness - & hoping that someday one of them would stand out & "BOMB" in a good way.
MaliceMajorE15 @ Jul 31st 2008 9:29AM
R U implying that most PSN games bomb? cos there are raving succes stories like PJMonsters and SSHD. I fink that ''exoticness''is a good fing as it adds variety to a Playstion store that was following xblive and flooding us with top down dual stick shooters. BTW I fink that the new trailer on the europe ps store 4 Last guy sux ass. download it from the jap store 4 better gameplay footage.
Whoppy @ Jul 31st 2008 9:17AM

mizzourahslim @ Jul 31st 2008 10:11AM

Dmacleod14 @ Jul 31st 2008 1:03PM

LOL Wow, voted down for an opinion? Harsh! ;)
tooeasy? @ Jul 31st 2008 11:47AM
would be cool to integrate with GPS - so you can play a level based on where you're standing. Or try a mode where you'd actually have to run around streets to avoid the monsters you see on screen (?) - take that Wii Fit !
Chris @ Jul 31st 2008 12:15PM
What an awesome idea! Imagine the sight of people running about with PSPs oblivious to everyone else staring at them, haha.
Chris @ Jul 31st 2008 12:13PM
If only the cast of Eastenders would be swollen up by monsters, aliens and purple ray beams, I'd consider watching BBC One for the first time in ages....
maxpontiac @ Jul 31st 2008 12:37PM
Looks interesting, and if anything, it's way outside the box.
Yes, that was a pun.
SoCoolCurt (PSN: KillaKornbread) @ Jul 31st 2008 1:07PM
... and a painful one at that lol
JaseH @ Jul 31st 2008 2:39PM
Dude that birds eye view totally reminded me of Melbourne from up top... the Yarra river.
You know what it would have been cool to see.... a horizontal view... you can skim through the streets with detailed 3D buildings & what not. Of your own neighbourhood. But I guess that's a lotta work.
I wonder if we can highlight our own areas & distribute the levels online for people to play them, kinda like LittleBigPlanet.
