Disgaea 3 has three bundles: regular, mediocre, hardcore

You've got to hand it to Nippon Ichi Software of America; they really know how to rope you in. Not only does Disgaea 3 ship with a discounted price at $50 and a fan-chosen soundtrack as a pre-order bonus, but you'll also have a choice of three bundles to choose from if you pre-order from NIS's online store, Rosenqueen.

The game will ship in three sets: Alma Mater, Delinquent Pride, and No. 1 Honor Student. The Alma Mater set is the standard game at $50 and contains the game disc, custom soundtrack, and a main theme CD. The Delinquent Pride set is the same but with a strategy guide and priced at $70. The last one is for the hardcore fan; No.1 Honor Student set includes all of the above plus a digital media disc (over 700 storyboard stills, art, and screens) and any one of the following: original soundtrack CD (2 discs, 37 songs), 36-page art book, or a school flag. Actually, the Honor Roll student comes with the original CD, the artbook OR the flag. Which of the 3 you get is completely random, but you won't get all 3.

I want to try one of these games out even though i never cared for FF:Tatics. I have too much on my plate now though and i think id start with the psp or DS game.

I consider myself a pretty hardcore JRPG fan but I don't know if my budget will allow for $90 or even $70 game purchase.

Yeah I was on the brink of cancelling my gamestop pre-order to get the No.1 Honor Student set...untill I saw that it was random. They would have sold me if they just packed in the Art Book

Not that it matters too much; I can get it off that RosenQueen site anyways.
Think I'll get the "Delinquent Pride" (mediocre) pack - $70 (about £35) seems a pretty sweet deal to me =]

This game is gonna rock. The PSP Afternoon of Darkness has made me a fan of the Disgaea Series. I preordered from gamestop unfortunately but I wouldnt mind that soundtrack CD, as long as it has "Running Fire" on it and "Etna Boogie"

The mediocre one isn't really that mediocre. Though the Honor Student set almost seems justifiable if I hadn't already preordered the other one.

Already ordered the No. 1 Student pack. I am a HUGE Disgaea fan and have been looking forward to this for a while. Only drawback of ordering off rosen queen is that I have to wait to play the game(as in not on day 1) and I'm not paying 60 bucks to have it overnighted to me
