PS3 Fanboy's Trophy Portal is now open for business
Trophies have been implemented for over a month now, but we've been holding back on opening our new trophy Portal until there were actually games that supported them. You know, plural. But now that PixelJunk Eden and Uncharted are both rocking the trophies, with more to come later this month, this seems like as good a time as any to get the party started.
Our Trophy Portal, which can be accessed at any time from playstation.joystiq.com/trophies, includes links to almost every trophy-based article we've written. We've listed games which we know will support trophies in the future, those that we know won't and, for those that already do, we've got links to their corresponding trophy lists and guides. This page will be constantly updated with new info as and when we receive it.

Haha, I'm in the 7% club also. I got a silver by accident (survivor) about 5 seconds before I got gunned down.

I haven't gottenthat yet, i'm playing on hard and collecting treasures (and im kinda cheating w/ that, but oh well xD)

this Trophy stuff is getting out of hand. i hope that it doesnt have the same NEGATIVE effect on PS3 as it does on LIVE.

Well if Sony should be trusted when they say, "a Gold trophy in one game will be around the same degree of difficulty as another Gold in another game" as well as knowing you're "gamer score" is based on level (not all trophies cause same affect) not on sheer number of trophies, then I believe it will help keep the "negative effect" that achievements has put forth on XBL with people buying crappy games to make up for the harder achievement points on other games that they couldn't "achieve".

Since your gamer score/level is influenced depending on the type of trophy you accomplish vs. sheer # of points like 360, you won't be seeing as much of a negative affect on PS3. What I mean is I see people all over my friend's friends list who just buy up horrible games just so they can get easy achievement points instead of taking the time to get through the harder ones on others. It's really pathetic that whoever has the most money has a much higher chance of looking like a 'better' gamer at first glance vs on PS3. So you can't really take 360's score without a grain of salt IMO vs PS3's system seems to have more integrity to it in the general scheme of comparing your score overall.

@ANt: He's talking about (I'm guessing here) people being douches in online multiplayer games, where, rather than play the game, they're playing for achievements. This is to the detriment of their team/squad/housemates.

Popfrogs got it RIGHT!!! that is exactly what I meant by NEGATIVE EFFECT and it is extremely annoying. Popfrogs when dont always agree but when we do the sun starts shining, birds are churping and a little kid somewhere has a smile on his face cuz he just got a brand new shiny PS3... pure beauty.

Has there been any word on Trophy support for MGS4? It would be great if the emblems themselves were just extended to the trophies. Along with, perhaps, some performance achievements within the game.

It's pretty needless to say this... but... I'm probably only going to get 1 game on the "Trophies Not Supported" games list of games i don't already have. I MIGHT get 1942 depending on if I have people to play the online multiplayer with. Otherwise no.

I really like the trophies, plus I like that they integrated all of Uncharted's challenges/rewards into the system, rather than simply making them obsolete. Plus it seems like there are WAY more trophies in the games that support them than the typical 360 title. I am all about completionism, though that isn't really a word.
