Heavy Rain: new amazing screenshots

Looks like Quantic Dream is about to break their silence about their upcoming PS3 game, Heavy Rain. Little is known about this title, although expectations are high from the team that brought us the wildly innovative PS2 adventure game, Fahrenheit (aka Indigo Prophecy). Two new images have surfaced from the upcoming game, and they look incredibly lifelike. It appears the team has come a long way since they last showcased some renders earlier this year.

Make sure you check out the high resolution images here to appreciate this breakthrough tech. We hope it won't be too long until we find out more about this elusive game.

a crying chick in the rain simulator? hmm...seems like more graphical demonstrations to me. although for cutscene graphics they do look pretty sweet. seems like what Silent Hill: Homecoming should have looked like.

but again, i'm tired of these ooo and ahh graphic demos, let's see some damn gameplay.

I really liked Indigo Prophecy...it was engrossing and fun to play. Reminded me of Max Payne with a better story.

One thing still bothers me about this game.. the mouth expressions are awful in the trailer.. games have synced voices with mouth movement for years now.. couldn't they do that with this game?

That trailer is a two year old, quickly thrown together tech demo. By no means does it represent how the final game is going to look and feel.

While the graphics are nice, the motion really places these characters in the uncanny valley.

Personally, I'd rather play games that are stylized and focused on being fun instead of playing a graphical powerhouse that will look outdated in short order.

The audio sync was only off because of technical errors in putting it online. QD has stated that in an IGN interview, and has stated that the sync was perfect if you saw it running on the PS3 engine, like it was at E3.

The mouth movement still looked retarded, and if it was out of sync, then still it looked weird.. Anyway, like someone said, its all tech demo footage.

@JayVe I think your right we should all just stop playing high end games and go back to our SNES. I mean why in the world should we push the boundaries of graphics? We should all do like JayVe does and enjoy SNES and Gensis games. Maybe if we all get back on those systems they will start making more games like that again. JayVe is a genius!

Any opinions on color in movies? I totally think we should move back to black and white with no sound, what do you think?

Looking nice... but im in fear to say " wow..those graphics are amazing...the power of the ps3" and finding 8 months and some money, that its coming to xbox two because "profits"

Sony bought up Quantic Dreams. They saw the above tech demo two years ago and snapped them up.

There's no chance of this game coming the 360.

This game is being funded and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. I'm sure SCEE owns the IP too, it's just like SCEA's relationship with Insomniac.

I remember hearing it was orginally multiplat but the 360 version was scrapped.

As a PS3 owner, I still find it quite ridiculous that your "wow..those graphics are amazing" comment can only be safely be made if you KNOW the game isn't coming to the 360. Goes to show how people's vision is completely clouded by the console wars.

Graphics aren't everything, and platform means nothing.

From the video i get the feeling that it will some sort of female shooting game. But it is 2 years old and i think the new screenshots are of the woman in casting as she looks now. Can't wait for more info on this lol.

Yea, I'm not going to say this game looks good. Well I mean it LOOKS good (visually that is) but I can't tell if it SEEMS good or not because well...there's no idea of what the game is yet.

So let's stop hyping it for anything other than the graphics for now, ok?
