SOCOM: Confrontation pricing, planned simultaneous worldwide release

After a minor delay, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation is heading over to store shelves and the PS Store on October 14th. The pricing scheme was also unveiled today, and it looks very similar to another PSN title, Warhawk:

$59.99 Bundle Version -- Includes the game on Blu-ray, along with the newly designed Bluetooth headset, and some exclusive Behind the Scenes videos.
$39.99 Stand Alone Version -- Includes the game on Blu-ray and nothing else.
$39.99 via PlayStation Network -- Includes the game downloadable from the PSN and nothing else.

Amazon also has a pre-order bonus of five downloadable music tracks -- the Bundle Version is here and the Stand Alone Version is here. No information on a release date outside of the US at this time, however, Sony's goal is to have a simultaneous worldwide release. For more on the game, check out our hands-on impressions.

I am going to download this game. I also want the headset. Will I be able to buy the headset separately??

Probably a few months after release.

I suspect this will be the official Sony headset that they'll keep forever.

Is this going to be online only? Also, they mention that there will be bullet penetration but will the levels be destructible like in Bad Company? I LOVE that feature, being able to just blast through a wall. It adds to the realism and action I think. IMO right now Bad Company blows COD4 out of the water and I hope SOCOM will do the same. COD is a little overrated.

Yes, there is bullet penetration.

No, environments are not as destructible as in Battlefield.

Why don't they charge less for a non-physical copy of the game? I'm so confused on that. Bandwith will always be cheaper than manufacturing costs. You would think it would need to be atlesat $10 less to entice people to do it that way. Atleast with a BR you can trade it in and get some money back or trade it in for another game, idk.....

shouldn't the PSN version be the cheapest? since they dont have to put the cost of the blu ray and packaging in. at least 5 or so bucks cheaper and you dont even get the instruction book.

Awesome, day one purchase for me. My Warhawk headsets been really bad lately and I need a new one. Also, i've been meaning to try out Socom so this is the perfect opportunity.

Does it have trophies though?

Hey this sounds decent at that price , I wonder how much the Europeans will be ripped off this time ( Wheres our Summer PSN sale ???? )
I kind of missed the whole SOCOM thing as waited so long for it to be released I got tired of waiting and bought a Gaming PC and got into the whole Battlefield experience thing instead.
What i was wondering is is this game an FPS or in 3rd person? , this is important because i hate 3rd person , whereas I should of loved Warhawk I thought it was absolute crap , particularly the aiming system for ground troops.
