Structured as a distribution and advertising deal, the daily video blog Rocketboom was bought by Sony Pictures Television for an undisclosed amount recently. Normally, we'd shrug it off as just another offbeat video blog getting shuffled around the interwebs, but Sony is going to distribute this rather entertaining video blog on the PSP as well as the PS3. We've embedded a video of what Rocketboom is like -- think you'd watch this on the PSP or PS3?
...or they can just add an RSS Channel to the PS3's XMB. Just saying.
Rocketboom was awesome when Amanda Congdon was host. Still, when it comes to podcasts, I'd much rather have the RSS Channel and aggregate the content myself.
Slightly longer answer: I used to subscribe to Rocketboom on my TiVo, and I agree with #1 that it was better with Amanda Congdon. These days, Rocketboom seems more concerned with being offbeat than delivering useful content.
I really can't figure out why Sony bought this, but I doubt I'll be watching on my PSP.
