The
Battlefield: Bad Company patch is now available to download in European territories. Simply shove the disc in the drive and it will download automagically. The update is just under 100 megs and adds a new multiplayer game mode, Conquest, which is very similar to
Warhawk's Zones mode. We're not sure whether it's up in America yet, but we'll keep you updated. If it's not up by now, chances are it'll appear sometime during the day. Don't forget, this update is completely free, another sign that EA is becoming gamer-friendly?

Hey guys.
Checked this morning before work (7:00 Central Time). Update is up for North America. I quick played one conquest game seemed pretty fun. It sure was nice for a change

It's in the US now as well, I got it about an hour ago.

Another sign that nobody is buying the game and EA are trying to bribe people

You my sir, are an idiot.

Onto the matter at hand: does the update include a patch for the microphone issues? I've never had my mic work (or my teammates) for this game for more than a couple minutes.

I stand corrected, although I hardly think name calling was neccessary

good thing, but I want support MOUSE and KEYBOARD.
I can't understand why these are not support.
controller gives to me huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge frustration !!

I think I understand what you're saying, and I agree. Guess we'll just have to wait on Battlefield 3 (PC) because Sony and game devs do NOT seem interested in M/KB support and any consoles.

It's frustrating to see PC-first games coming to PS3, but with no M+K support. They should allow support for local play, but not online. UT3 supported it atleast!
wolfehound22 @ Aug 7th 2008 10:45AM
well nice to see EA is offering free updates from time to time. Let's hope this trend continues for there other games.

Yeah it has been mentioned in the in-game scroller since the day the game launched. Better late than never I guess.
Now if they could just squash the gigantic, game-crippling bugs like warping lag, sound crackling and awful disappearing mic support, we'll be in business.
wolfehound22 @ Aug 7th 2008 10:47AM
nice to see EA offering free dl. Lets hope this continues for future games.
iamkid @ Aug 7th 2008 12:10PM
automagically? anyway, thats cool, new multiplayer is always good
racingfreak92 @ Aug 7th 2008 2:37PM
Actually this is a sign that EA pushed the game out early before the mode was finished, which would also explain why the game is still so buggy
