Regardless of his bias, he has a point which is why we must be honest and admit why we're all here. This is upsetting.

One thing I do like is that a XBox Achievement requirement is that developers not require additional purchases to total the original 1,000 gamerscore points of a game.

You can add 250 more but you don't need to buy anything to complete the 1,000.

I guess we can see it as only a number. If you view it as "possible achievements" Microsoft is allowing the same thing. You need to pay to get the total 1,250 in some games. But they ARE pretty rare.

and this is exactly why i doubt ill get many platinum trophies. im sitting on all the trophies in Super Stardust HD except the paid ones (and Multiplier Hero, that thing is tough!), and i refuse to buy the expansions. sure the game was decent, but it wasnt good enough for me to buy the extra stuff. maybe if they put it on sale.

I dont give a crap what annyone here sais. Yes, I like 360 more and yes I enjoy it more and I'm not hiding it! But I also have a PS3 and I feel this is a ripoff man. You should be able toget the platinum trophy without buying any extra content. If anything the extra content should just come with a couple of bronze and maybe one gold. I love SSHD but I just think its such a ripoff that you have to buy an expansion for one fricken easy ass gold trophy to be able to get a platinum. Its not right and Sony should know better.

Guys calm down first off when they start releasing games with trophies from the biggining I would expect that they will all apply to only the game content not the downloadable. Second Superstardust and any other PSN titile you will not be reciving platnum trophies so no need to worry about that. And games like Warhawk were to get every trophy you will need to buy the expansions. To get a platnum trophy all you need to do is get all the base trophies. So all this trophies are for people that go out and buy the expansions. And I am sure down the road when the games already have trophies from the biggining. When they release expansions the trophies will all be included with the expansions.

I find it odd that you guys complain about requiring an add-on to get certain trophies, when getting ANY trophies requires buying the game!

Either way you're paying money for trophies! If you don't like the game, you won't bother getting trophies for it anyways. Chances are if you do like it then you'll be dropping cash on add-ons anyways... I just don't get it.

Personally I thought PAIN was pretty awesome and I bought all the characters ages ago just to show my support for the company even though I will likely never use half of them.

So explain this to me, if you are so upset about an expansion getting trophies, would you be MORE upset if you got the expansion and there were no trophies to be obtained?

You are looking at this all wrong. Your not "paying for Trophies" you paying for the expansion which also supports trophies. You should be happy.

I still fill pain for the money I gave for Pain. I was trying to play it but it's one of the worst games I ever played. And I pain cause I paid to Play. I prefer to play Joust than to play PAIN... but what I am saying JOUST it's agreat game.

I really enjoy this game. I find it calming to put on some good music on the custom soundtrack and throw mimes into plate glass windows. I've got a ton of enjoyment from it.

The need to buy extra DLC to get all Trophies are in SuperStardustHD too. Not sure if I can feel pissed about it as it is no different in the end than the fact that if you want 'all' trophies you will eventually have to buy all games supporting Trophies. Which is of course not something anyone (sane) would do.

It seams like w/ all these inexpensive PSN games that developers of larger games wont have much of an incentive to make big games. All they'll need to do is create an OK $9.99 game and create multiple add-ons for it. So really the full PSN game will eventually cost $30 for a glorified shooter or a pick-up and play game like PAIN. For my money I'd rather pick up and buy a Greatest hits game for under $30.... Just my "two cents". ;)

I'll double check this when I get home tonight, but I think that it was on sale for $5 in the month of July. All prices are back to normal now. Either-way $10+ all the add-ons you'll either be a little over $20 or in the high teens.

I think they're actually only allowed a certain number and value of trophies in the main game, but may add more with add-on content. So maybe they maxed out the ones in the main game, but wanted to add trophies for those who sprung for the add-ons?

I really don't think it's a bad trend to set. It's perfectly reasonable... would you NOT want more trophies when new content is released?

Is it really any different than not being able to get the trophies from Uncharted without paying for Uncharted?

If you're so obsessed with getting *every* trophy, then yes, you're going to have to pay for DLC. But if you're not that obsessed with getting *every* trophy, then it's not a big deal to miss ones "Oh, Trill? Yeah, I didn't bother getting that character, so I don't have the trophy". See? Not that hard.

PAIN is the kind of game I pick up and mess around with for 10 minutes every now and then. Even my raging OCD isn't going to get me to try to "earn" these trophies, which seem a lot more tedious than the bronze "complete a level" trophies for super stardust. Are you sure you have to get 10 mil and the other combos in PAINdemonium and Aftermath, not just one or the other?

Should get a platinum trophy for never buying this game. While the concept if fun, the execution makes this the worst PSN game of all time. Way too many micro-transactions in the game and the original game had too little content. Spending $40 to get a full featured game of this caliber is a waste of money.

For $9.99 the game was great. Both my friends and I got many hours of enjoyment watching as the one playing would hit Granny or blowup or fart or whatever. Also, the Mime toss and the bowling made for an even better experience. For the hours of enjoyment, the game was well worth the purchase.

Now why its taken them so long to get another map out, idk, but that's their choice and its going to be hard to warrant a purchase on a game that has been replaced by Echochrome, PJ:M & PJ:E imo.

Looks like the list is missing some trophies. Look at the count and compare to something like stardust or eden. Even given that it has a gold in there, SSDHD has two golds and a fistful of silvers.

Is it just me that thinks this is a low number?

I think that if they are going to allow trophies for DLC then it should come with the DLC. The trophies in the game should not be allowed to require DLC, but if you buy DLC then that should add in the trophies that are associated with that particular DLC.
