Here are some more sizzling Ferrari Challenge pics
Ferrari Challenge is gearing up for August 26 -- the game's release date for North America. With little under two weeks left before race day, we're sure some of you might be interested in seeing more of the game. Luckily, we've added a few new screens to our gallery for you to check out.
In the screenshot above, you can see the Ferrari 333SP. It's one of the cars we mentioned before in our hands-on with the North American version of the game. You did read that, didn't you? Make sure that you do!

Demo?

I have this game.. and it has terrible graphics. Dull and jerky :(
C.Evans @ Aug 14th 2008 10:14AM
Don't believe the above. The graphics are not GT5 levels but they are fantastic in their own right, bright and vivid colours.
The AI is the best part of this game, miles better than Forza or GT5p.

How do the graphics compare to GRID? Thanks.
Jason @ Aug 14th 2008 10:44AM
For those how may have imported it, how is the game with the Driving Force GT wheel? Thanks.

Have to say looks very boring, give me Dirt or Grid any day.

Question for those who have the game..
To me, the benchmark for SIM style driving games is Gran Turismo.
If you can, give me the order on how you think Ferrari stacks up in these categories.
1 - Graphics
2 - Physics
3 - Customization
4 - Singleplayer
5 - Difficulty
Thanks in advance!!

1 - Graphics.
Compared to GT5p, the graphics are below par which is quite obvious as nothing beats GT in terms of graphics, after all, Polyphony spend years tweaking the absolute smallest details. It is however reasonable, on par with games like GRID or Forza.
2 - Physics.
Much better than any other game I have played, it's obviously a simulation game so some may find it difficult but it's fantastic. You do feel the true nature of the cars, understeer on turn in, oversteer when throttle is applied. Every car has different characteristics.
3 - Customization.
Obviously you can tweak the cars to your liking, grab an F430 and you can customize most visual options. Not as much as games like Need for Speed as everything in this game is as realistic as possible but it's great.
4 - Single Player.
Quite good, you can spend a lot of time just playing single player. It has many different modes including time trials but the main draw would be the racing leagues. Split into 3 different categories and each provides different challenges.
5 - Difficulty.
Many choices of difficulty settings, there was a patch out a week ago which tweaked the top end to make it more difficult.
The online in this game was poor but after the recent patch, it has finally become playable and as a result, the true potential of this game is realised.
Seriously, for any car racing fan, this is a must have.
LatinoLA1 @ Aug 14th 2008 12:58PM
Looks kind of good but, its all ferrari cars, right? =(
Superleggera @ Aug 19th 2008 2:42AM
And this is bad how?
will @ Aug 14th 2008 1:31PM
why on earth would i play a game with only ferraris?
Dante @ Aug 14th 2008 1:32PM
are you an idiot?
Phileoca @ Aug 14th 2008 1:50PM
I think somebody spilt chlorine in your gene pool.
maxpontiac @ Aug 14th 2008 2:39PM
C.Evans.
Appreciate your detailed explanation. This is game is a must pick up.
I have been wanting a SIM racer with GT5:P becoming stale at the moment.
One more question for ya!
Is the singleplayer lengthy? Or is it short?
C.Evans @ Aug 14th 2008 3:40PM
It's quite decent and the variety of tracks is great.
Don't expect to love the game from the first time you play, indeed, i found it frustrating but once you get into it, it's amazing.
The single player is quite a decent length, it's split up into different sections and provides a great challenge, can easily last you many hours, especially with the increasing difficulty.
maxpontiac @ Aug 14th 2008 4:14PM
C.Evens -
Good. The track variety is imprortant. It's where GT5:P and Forza suffer IMO.
Seriously? You didn't like the game when you first got it? Why is that?
Blast8180 @ Aug 14th 2008 5:11PM
The physics are more realistic than GT5p's. They are still nowhere near GTR2's level of physics though. GTR2 for the pc is the standard of simulation racing. You'll cry for the first few days of playing that game, but once you get the hang of it it becomes very rewarding.

Everyone. Buy PS3 exclusives even if they are not that good. Where's your console pride?
Majed Athab @ Aug 14th 2008 9:46PM
I whole heartedly disagree with this statement. Buy games that make you happy.
e.Missark @ Aug 14th 2008 9:54PM
Who the f#ck are you and GTFO.
Stop being stingy bitches and buy PS3 games unless you want to continue PS3s loosing streak.
Arnon @ Aug 14th 2008 11:30PM
Rofl.. So how's Haze e.Missark? >_>.. You're an idiot.
