Famitsu reveals Metal Gear Solid 4 password for Altair's costume

Gaming bible Famitsu has revealed a password that allows for Altair's costume without the assassin's emblem. The password is "aottrykmyn" and you can enter it from the camouflage menu after you get the Metal Gear Mk. II. Another password that you can enter in this fashion is "jmsotsynrn" which will yield the Type 17 pistol. Have fun!

I think they will make passwords available for the Big Boss mask and Patriot gun, but you wont be able to get the Emblem which means there is still a reason for you to do them.

Oh man how unfair, I just finished getting both of those items! The type 17 was especially grueling for me. I'm currently doing a run to get the desert eagle, I wonder if I should just wait for the password for that one. A little disappointing really. Even still, I too want a password to get the Big Boss emblem since I don't have any hope of getting that one myself.

Just do the Big Boss Emblem run to get all of those weapons.
If I could do it, you can. Just make sure you have the solar gun when you do it.

doh! what the hell... i spent a good 3 play throughs trying to unlock it... and theres just a dumb code to get it?
oh well... at least i have the badge and the code users dont. HA!

why oh why would they do such a dumb ass thing, they spend millions and 4 or 5 years making this game, only to have dumb ass passwords to enable certain items...are we still playing PS1 games?/

Look man, I don't have enough time to be playing this game OVER and OVER trying to get these items.
It's good that they gave out passwords.
Plus, with the passwords... you still don't get the badges/emblems, but you get the items only..
So its a win/lose situation.
You still need to do the challenges to get the badges and emblems.

dude where do you enter these codes? i just want to see what the pistol is. i dont care much for the altair costume. but i want the gun. the camo menu doesnt have password input.

The only item I needed was the 1911 Custom, thats for that password. Weird why that was the weapon chosen as the password only one, it isn't a very exciting gun, but now I'll have 70 guns now.
As for the Trophies, I am starting to think that they will leave Trophies until MGS4: 'Substance' when they release it. Add another reason to getting it if you already have MGS4. So I may go for the last few Trophies so I can get the Snake Eater theme.
