SOCOM beta details: maps, modes, character customization
The latest entry on the SOCOM: Confrontation blog reveals some additional juicy information regarding the beta. There will be a Crossroads map with 16 players as well as a Crossroads Large map with 32 players. Different game modes will also be accessible, such as Extraction, Elimination and Suppression. The ability to lock out certain weapons or weapon classes is also possible. You can also customize your character with different elements such as body armor, camo, headgear and more. Clan support and stat-tracking is also supported, but beware, these will reset at the launch of the game. Not in the beta? You can still check out our hands-on impressions.

This game looks sharp, intense and tactical just the way we want it (or I want it) gives something for those xbots to cry about. hope it comes with DLC

So is there anybody who doesn't have a credit card/PSN card and wants to be in the BETA but can't buy Qore.
If so you can do one of 2 things.
Buy Playstation The Official Magazine: September 08 issue. Inside will be a code for you to get Qore episode 1 free and a pretty cool issue. (This is how I have the BETA)
or just pre order it at gamestop.
I think the first way is better because your getting a magazine, free issue of Qore and the BETA for around the same price of preordering it. :)

Best way to get the beta is to go reserve the game at Gamestop. But be sure to call ahead to see if they still have beta keys. I had contacted 3 stores in my area, before I found a store with keys left.
Reserving the game gets you into the beta for the whole month of September. The 1st to the 30th.
Qore will only give you access to the beta in the 2nd and 3rd week of September.
Let me see. Reserve a great game for $5 and get the beta for a month. Or buy Qore for just over $3 for only two weeks. At least you can cancel your reserve and get your money back if you don't like the game. Same can't be said about Qore.

Unfortunately i've already preordered my copy from EB games, who aren't involved with the beta keys, and im not from north america so i cant get the key through buying the magazine either.
If anyone could give me one of their give away codes it would be awesome!
Just shoot me an email,
Thanks!!!
