Japanese ad says Afrika will put you to sleep

Unless we're missing something because of the cultural gap, we don't think this is the best way to advertise the upcoming PS3-exclusive Afrika ...

Poking fun at yourself always gets plus points in my book. Probably just making fun of how you have to wait for that shot, just like a real photographer would have to.

The following is read using an Australian accent:

All in all, it's saying:
1)This game is realistic that it does the animal behavior including duration, habits, night and day time attitude, etc.

2)This game is for people who enjoy animal and watching. Which usually isn't something kids usually like to do, aka them sleeping on trips or doing their own stuff.

You guys got it all wrong. The ad was just showing that the people got so into the game and started to feel what the animals were feeling.

I always seem to enjoy Japanese commercials because they get to the point quickly and surprise you a bit.

The game does have a good concept, but I feel it would be better as a downloaded game rather than Blu-Ray. Also, is it just me, or have the graphics in Afrika looked sub-par in most of the trailers?

Maybe the idea is that you will play untill you pass out, but it is so fast it seems that it just puts you to sleep quickly due to the boring power of PS3 exclusive.

I lived in Japan for 10 years and totally get the vibe of this co mmercial. Everything is different over there, and product commercials (CM as they call them) are unique as well. It's an interesting angle to take, though, even for a Japanese CM :)

im somewhat looking forward to this game .. i mean i definiley won't buy it when it comes out but when its at greatest hits price IF it becomes a greatest hits ill give it a shot but otherwise this ad sucks sorry but the japanese ads... i don't like them for example the siren ad sucked i mean they couldve made it more scary but it sucked .. in fact the only good japanese ad was the gran turismo ad which wasn't all that great .. its just a dad who thinks its a real race when its just a game if you guys remember
