Nice list, Alan. Is Lee your favourite charcter in tekken? I was just wonderin, as you used his picture =D

This kind of topic is pretty much what I was asking for back in the new releases post. Good job.
Next, start shining the spotlight on some of the best PSP games most people have never heard of!

Some really great PSP games in the list.
Great Work! :)
Frastoglegnia @ Aug 19th 2008 1:02PM
Nice list, but it seems a tad heavy on arcade/retro fare and light on signature games that made people buy a PSP in the first place. Metal Gear Acid 2 is currently $14.99 -- why pimp two separate MegaMan games when that franchise sells more Nintendo hardware than Sony? Did you ignore Space Invaders Extreme because it's too common, too new or cross-platform? I agree on FFT, Beats and Patapon, but when last I looked, Monster Hunter Freedom 2 was $19.99, and I'd much rather play that than Socom [Insert Number]: [Singular Noun] of the [Plural Noun].

Try usin paragraphs, that way it's a lot easier to read. Also, you have a point when you say it was a bit arcade heavy, but there are only 20 spaces and everyone has a different opinion.
I prefer your list more, but not everybody would. I hope it doesn't seem like I'm bitchin at you.

"Socom [Insert Number]: [Singular Noun] of the [Plural Noun]."
...I can't read this without laughing. Win.
andwhyisit @ Aug 19th 2008 11:33PM
Somehow Space Invaders Extreme managed to hit shelves and then leave shelves without ever being on the shelves. I was horribly annoyed at that. (I live in Australia btw)
NukeAssault @ Aug 19th 2008 1:24PM
Man i love Beats.. Really wish they made a new one with more features. Id gladly pay more.
Vidaluko @ Aug 19th 2008 7:41PM
"Oh, and did we mention you can unlock Symphony of the Night after you beat the game?"
No you don´t, SotN is in the 3-4 level, I remember finished SoTN before the main game...
gurbinder @ Aug 19th 2008 2:43PM
New comment system :) and i had to completely agree on the two megaman games, they were incredible. Flow was a bit short, I played echochrome but it wasnt my kind of game. As for wipeout pure, ive played wipeout pulse but never tried wipeout pure yet.
Jacksons @ Aug 19th 2008 2:53PM
Heh, I only own 4 of these. Different strokes for different folks, I guess!

Well I just finally got a PSP the other day on an insane steal that when combined with some trades of crap it came with (2 bad games and 1 good game better on Wii) and getting rid of my small gba setup I got 12 games, movie and a slim. In that pile I have 6 of those, and then MMPU, Gradius, Katamari I could see getting, but I'm not for downloads, especially when they get over around a $10 level and that's pushing it for something w/out a solid copy...but I guess I started out well.
Peter V @ Aug 19th 2008 4:33PM
Good list (I own about half...). I just bought my PSP a couple of months ago and love it. I know that a lot of people are worried about the lack of new releases, but I've been stoked to work my way through the 16 or so games I've bought. I've only fully beaten one. There are a lot of good games out there.

Wow, this IS a new comment system. If only they had installed it a few hours before..... It took me around five minutes to reply to Frastoglegnia.
Hopefully this one fixes these problems, sometimes I post the same message three or four times, and then they all appear.

dude, don't post the same comment multiple times. There's your problem. From my experience, if you post more than one or two posts quick in a row, it'll put new ones on hold, probably for moderation purposes. This also happens for comments with links to unknown sites and with foul language.
However, they always show up, you just have to wait a few minutes.

DAMMIT!!!!!!!????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jacksons @ Aug 19th 2008 5:45PM
lol...
I've never had a post not appear. Sure, sometimes they take a few minutes to pop up, but they find their way eventually.

I just bought Castlevania : The Dracula X Chronicles yesterday. Aside from the insane difficulty (You get 4 lives, and you can only take 3 or 4 hits before you die. That's insane.), and the fact that despite Symphony Of The Night being half of the back of the game's box, you have to unlock the game (you have to get to alternate stage 3 from stage 2 to get it), it's pretty good.
Also, I just grabbed a savegame file from the net with Symphony of the Nigh and the original Rondo of Blood unlocked, as both of those are about a thousand times better than the re-made version of Rondo of Blood.
Jacksons @ Aug 19th 2008 5:55PM
I agree in full. It was the less-than-60 framerate that killed the remade Rondo for me. I like my sidescrollers to be smooth as silk, and I don't think that's too much to ask.
Also, the stage 5' boss is insane. I had to play that level about 4 times until I eventually learned how to dodge all the different attacks and stages of that boss. Curse you, Hydra.
J.K. @ Aug 20th 2008 3:32PM
Seriously, both of you. Gamefaqs.com, Castlevania, SAVES tab. Scroll it, you'll find one with NOTHING done at all except unlocking the two originals. Just grab that and copy it using the PSP Media Manager+usb jack or just drop the card into your PC if you can.
From there just erase the small save Rondo remix has so you have a fresh one there, it WILL NOT remove the unlocked SOTN and original Rondo. I did this because I really was more interested in doing SOTN and original Rondo as I used to own both of them. :)

This list has a disturbing lack of Dead Head Fred.
Also, new comment system is pretty nice.
aj @ Aug 23rd 2008 8:00PM
I just picked up Dead Head Fred used for 9$, and you're absolutely right. We all need more Dead Head Fred in our lives.
squirtbot @ Aug 19th 2008 5:36PM
had to try this new comment thing everyone is yapping about...
Also, great list. Its displayed well too!
Lionhart617 @ Aug 19th 2008 7:02PM
The only good game on that list was Beats.
WhiteShield @ Aug 20th 2008 1:23PM
cool, nice to see that some of these games are really cheap. now all i have to do is go out and buy tekken then find a psn gift card somewhere... (dont have a credit card)
