Everyday Shooter on the PSP or PS3? I've heard rumors of a PSP PSN version, but I don't think it has been confirmed yet. (Maybe it just was?)
RockerAnimeFreak @ Aug 20th 2008 3:22PM
Its downloadable on psn! btw this pack is awesome I think I'll get the size matters one and buy a 8 gig separate ms pro duo for it as well.
Kevin Gass @ Aug 20th 2008 12:40PM
Aww I want a Pure white Psp to come out in the US :(
Sean jdahsdka @ Aug 20th 2008 12:34PM
Wait Everyday Shooter for PSP :?
Joe @ Aug 20th 2008 12:38PM
If any one from PSP Fanboy could ask Sony if they have any plans on selling the PSP in different colors by them self I would really appreciate it. I want to buy a Blue PSP but I already own a PSP with a 4 gig memory card and I don't want Madden. So if you get around to it I would be really thankful because I don't want another Black PSP. Plus with this new version of the PSP I might have to wait a little longer to get a new PSP. So also ask if Sony plans on bringing more PSP color's out too.
Kevin Gass @ Aug 20th 2008 12:41PM
I dont think so i could be wrong though. try ebay
Frastoglegnia @ Aug 20th 2008 12:58PM
Joe: I could be so wrong that transgendered Buddhists will name my analog stick Biff, but it seems to me that Sony doesn't release exotic colors until well into the life cycle of new hardware. Europe might get colors because they missed out on our last bundles, but we've just had blue and red. Sony isn't likely to give the US the same colors again immediately. The new bundles haven't even sold out.
Japanese consumers will get endless PSP colors, but, of course, they always do. Go to Japan and shop for a vacuum cleaner: you'll find it in seventeen shades.
Do you really need an internal mic? If not, get a Slim or wait to be certain the 3000 is as hackable as the 2000. Don't be a beta-tester for huge companies unless they supply the hardware.
Joe @ Aug 20th 2008 2:07PM
@ Frastoglegnia I really could care less about the Mic but if I am going to buy a new PSP you might as well get the newest one.
Also I wonder if I did not make my comment clear. Sony sells the PSP black by it self but if you want a colored PSP you have to buy it in a bundle.
Why can't you buy a colored PSP by it sell for the 150 price instead of getting a colored in a 200 bundle. To me I would think having the color's being sold by them self would help sell more PSPs. Because what if a person owns a PSP 1000 and wants to get a new PSP but does not want the same color. So to me it feel like Sony should offer more then just the Black PSP by itself.
wolven69 @ Aug 21st 2008 9:30AM
@Frast...
I agree with you 100%, but it seems to me that they're doing it to help ease people into swallowing the $200 price tag for a mediocre game (with some exceptions) and a UMD movie they likely wouldn't sell in the first place. In Japan, they don't have to worry about that. And who uses 1GB now a days if your system is hacked? I was waiting for a blue non madden 2000, but now I think I will wait and see how hackable these 3000 ones are. You just know they're going to have some nasty protection schemes to try and lock it down. I hope DAX can work his magic on these.
thoraxe112 @ Aug 21st 2008 4:43PM
to me the colours arent a big deal
but thats me
im gettin the black 3000 day it comes out and tradin in my ol' imported slim in a wierd green mint color see if i can get more for it XD
Riley @ Aug 20th 2008 12:38PM
I haven't bought a PSP yet. I made the decision to get one around the time details about this model started to leak, so I figured I'd wait and see. I don't care much about the microphone, but the brighter screen sounds nice. However, one of the reasons I wanted a PSP was to play old Lucas Arts adventure games in SCUMM while traveling. I'm guessing that modifying the firmware to do that won't be possible right away on this new model. How long was it after the slim's launch before the thing was hacked, just to give me an idea?
RockerAnimeFreak @ Aug 20th 2008 3:20PM
I think the slim was exploited in less than a month. Hackers on steroids??? you bet! =)
vivelemal @ Aug 20th 2008 12:44PM
i would seriously get this on october 14th ahahhaahahahahahahahahahhahah but the games suck but i would buy this since my phat psp broke.Dam i have to wait till october arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Kratos @ Aug 20th 2008 12:44PM
Mystic Silver PSP-3000
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets UMD
echochrome PSN voucher
1GB Memory Stick PRO duo
That seems like a decent amount of stuff.
Shinogu @ Aug 20th 2008 12:49PM
EVERYDAY SHOOTER FOR PSP!! FUCK YESSSSSSSS
PiemanPieman @ Aug 20th 2008 12:58PM
Just bought the Madden bundle, so this news makes me a little sad inside. None of those are blue, however, so they can stuff it. I already own two PSPs so another one would basically mean it's time for me to go work in the red light district.
WhiteShield @ Aug 20th 2008 1:18PM
well... this is a fail for me. as excited as i was to see everyday shooter and echochrome being included in these packages, i don't need a 3rd psp. i'm going to hold out until sony comes out with a 2nd nub (btw, anyone think that the 2nd nub might screw controls for older games? just a thought)
Dr Haisook @ Aug 20th 2008 2:27PM
I guarantee there wouldn't ever be a second analog nub version. Yes, it will definitely leave other owners left out in the shade as well as most previous games.
Fane @ Aug 20th 2008 9:13PM
how could adding a 2nd nub "screw" the controls on existing games?
andwhyisit @ Aug 20th 2008 11:26PM
Any psp game using a second analogue nub will not be compatible with older hardware versions. Your psp phat or slim would not be able to play it, pretty much forcing every PSP owner to either buy the new hardware version or GTFO.
Sony could always release it as an accessory for use with PS1 titles, but I doubt that would happen.
adnananiqa @ Aug 20th 2008 1:24PM
this is bull sony doesnt know how to make money this is a what a real bundle looks like
Resistance Retribution
PSP-3000
2 GB Memory Card
I would definitely buy that
MedHead @ Aug 20th 2008 1:44PM
I'm so excited! I don't need this, yet I still want it!
David Black @ Aug 20th 2008 1:54PM
On IGN it also details some functional changes regarding the video out function. The 3000 model will be able to output gameplay to non-progressive scan TVs. Here's the link:
http://psp.ign.com/articles/900/900615p1.html
Don @ Aug 20th 2008 2:00PM
Sonnuva!!! Now *THERE'S* the major bait for me. That pisses me off, because that's the one feature I'd really want, but I already own 2 PSP Slims (one broken) & a PSP fat.
Don @ Aug 20th 2008 1:58PM
Those packages seem a bit lopsided. The R&C gives you a UMD game, a PSN game, a 1 GB stick & a UMD movie, while the black one gives you a 4GB stick & PSN game. Both are the same price?
3 GB worth of stick = UMD game, 1 GB stick & UMD movie??
El Bato Loco @ Aug 20th 2008 3:14PM
hm some changes kinda made me mad since i just bought the GOW Bundle pack:
-Improved LCD
-Imporved TV Out -for non-progressive TV
-Mic
-and by the looks of it, new XMB wave design
NICE ONE SONY!
anywho... guess I should try to sell my psp by then...
(I just bought this PSP a while back... :-(
aj @ Aug 20th 2008 4:37PM
And I just bought the GoW pack which had an AMAZINGLY crappy movie and no memory stick for the same price.
C'est la vie.
Riley @ Aug 20th 2008 5:47PM
National Treasure 2 isn't amazingly crappy?
Genghis Hank @ Aug 20th 2008 3:27PM
Grrr... Just bought the Madden pack.
Mr.U2 @ Aug 20th 2008 3:58PM
Um... I'm not complaining or anything, but... Didn't the PSP 2000 release this year also??? I'm not against the PSP 3000, but I feel like it was just yesterday everyone was hyped about the PSP 2000, and I feel like it was just yesterday PSP Fanboy was talking about the "possibility" of a new PSP. What happened? Did I miss something?
Don @ Aug 20th 2008 4:51PM
The PSP-2000 came out in September 2007. So about 11 months ago.
As to all the other news seeming like it was just yesterday, well it probably was. So you didn't miss anything.
Jacksons @ Aug 20th 2008 3:59PM
I wonder how this will impact sales of the new Madden pack? I sure as hell wouldn't buy one now knowing this is coming.
reson8er @ Aug 20th 2008 4:11PM
The window for the madden pack is probably closing soon anyway. With Madden, a few weeks after the football season starts, you may as well start putting those bundles in the discount bin.
Warner Young @ Aug 20th 2008 4:09PM
How much better IS the new screen anyway? Has anyone been able to check that out?
Sora57 @ Aug 20th 2008 4:37PM
How about turn by turn GPS in US? That will make me buy. And more RAM!!
myuusmeow @ Aug 20th 2008 6:28PM
To everyone complaining about one bundle getting more stuff: Don't forget the Star Wars PSP. Last Christmas it was the only one ANY stores had left, so I had to bite the bullet. All it came with was ONE GAME, no movie, no MemoryStick, no game voucher, just 1 game, a game that wasn't that good to boot.
vivelemal @ Aug 20th 2008 5:40PM
hey anybody know if bestbuy futureshop or eb games/gamestop accepts pre-orders now?HelP me cuz i know the psp is gonna be off the shelves if not reserved so helpppppppppppppppp
Turbo @ Aug 20th 2008 6:03PM
Wait... they just released the slim a year ago. This ticks me off, they could have put all this in an earlier model, seems to me that they do this for the money. Not just Sony but Nintendo (DS Lite) they really need to get people to test the product before they release it if they are going to change it after every one buys it.
Jakey @ Oct 6th 2008 11:38AM
Thats what I was thinking, i think that psp-2000 probably was a mistake. Not because of its sales, i mean i did really well but i guess Sony thinks they should add these in too now. Poor madden bundle purchasers lol
Turbo @ Aug 20th 2008 6:07PM

Nate @ Aug 20th 2008 6:14PM
what the hell? its the Slim all over again! except they're sure to make this thing unhackable....as ironic as it sounds, this announcement of a new PSP marks the death of the system altogether
Brian @ Aug 20th 2008 7:58PM
wow this new bundle seem like a great buy, a new model slim is cool too, everyday shooter on PSP now that's awesome news!
Brandon @ Aug 29th 2008 7:26AM
its so retarded rachet and clank size matters is like 2 yeasr old and if i were them i would promote online with Socom FTB 2 that is the most amazing online game iv ever played
dahookerdance @ Aug 20th 2008 8:05PM
i want one
Squirtbot @ Aug 20th 2008 8:34PM
These look awesome with Matte finishes! Both bundles are great too... Damn, which one to buy? I'm glad I only have to wait about 2 months to get it. That GOW psp took forever!
TJF588 @ Aug 20th 2008 9:28PM
Wow, read a comment aboot non-prog-scan sets being able to carry gameplay imagery.
My main excitement here, though, is that there's finally a Piano Black "pack" rather than just a core set. The enhanced version with 4Gigs of first-party memory (and some shooter game...?)? Why, yes, I do believe I have something to srsly pine ovar again; now, to get a job... *sigh* This and that PKMN DS lite (though, given the FFIV cover set available straight from SE, I might just opt for regular black).
james @ Aug 21st 2008 1:43AM
has anyone noticed that the area where the d-pad and face buttons are placed is indented? It also looks like the psp has a matte finish on the front. i'll defenately br buying this. mainly for it being able to play games on tvs which don't use the component cable. woo!
me @ Aug 21st 2008 7:24AM
sooo..
no touch screen ..
no dual analogue nubs...
no major increase in ram...
or internal memory...
or even adding a second memory slot...
no built in motionsensing
or camera
or gps
soooo...
what did the sony psp team do for the last 11months(since psp2000 launched)?
added some indentation to the dpad area...
and improved the video out capabilities....
riight. thats definitely worth buying
(sarcastic incase you didn't get it)
me @ Aug 21st 2008 7:30AM
forgot to mention
-the built in microphone and
-the improved screen
now those are features that make it worth upgrading!!
(sarcastic again)
think i'l just stick with my old psp1000 running the latest Team M33 CFW for a bit longer :P
LM2007 @ Aug 21st 2008 12:30PM
This bundle sounds great but i love the GOW bundle and looks cool..now im stuck which one to pick.
