You should know by now that one of our most anticipated games this holiday season is Sega's upcoming PS3-exclusive SPRG, Valkyria Chronicles. Yet another English language trailer has been distributed at Leipzig, and while it doesn't reveal much new about the game, it does get the hype rolling yet again. The innovative mix of real-time movement and turn-based combat will have hungry PS3-owning JRPG fans craving for more.

Is it me or do all the current crop of cel shaded games (Prince of Persia, Vesperia) kinda taken the wind out the sails of anticipation for this title?
Vote me down if you disagree, but there is nothing special about the look of the game anymore. Hopefully the gameplay is superb.

It looks like a bastardized version of Legend of Dragoon, Front Mission 4, and Fear Effect. However, if the game focuses on the LoD and FM4 aspects it could be pretty awesome.

It still looks great and its a credit to Sega's designers, but the more I see of this game, the more I realize it's not for me.
Way too strategy based. Obviously I can't fault the game for delivering what it sets out to, but I would have preferred to see a regular RPG in this style. (Or really any RPG on PS3 would be great.)
I hope there's a demo in any case so I can give it a try and see if they pander to the RPG crowd and not just the RTS crowd.

Enchanted Arms did not cut it.
And those two 360 bores by Mystwalker were well, not what I wanted.
I hope this one holds me over until FF13.

Is there anything to reveal about the game? I mean the Japanese version is already out so...?
