Warhawk: Operation: Fallen Star expansion pack official details

The third expansion pack for the PSN-exclusive Warhawk is coming by month's end. Operation Fallen Star introduces Tau Crater, a remote, forested level that is the site of a crashed Chernovan warship containing experimental technology. This new pack adds the Infrantry Jetpack and ten new battlefields, most likely variations of the Tau Crater level. Of course, a free summer update will add a few new features, not forgetting Trophies.

Damn. That trailer made me want to whip out Warhawk and start playing again.
I just need to find some PSN cards somewhere so I can actually buy the booster packs. :(

Just curious. How come the people that make Burnout Paradise can release a ton of free downloadable content, but the people that make Warhawk make you pay for it?

I am gonna stop buying new games, all these old ones keep me playing! I am just now getting to GRID, and I am about to sit that down for warhawk again....

No matter how hard I try, I cannot ever have fun playing Warhawk. When I bought It I thought that It would be like a third-person Battlefield 2 but I never enjoy it. Am I doing something wrong?

Dude, maybe its just not your bag.....there are many games other people enjoy the hell out of that I cant enjoy for the life of me.
In fact at first I though Warhawk wasn't going to be my thing, but now its my drug of choice. Every time I break free from its grip I get pulled right back in.

Get into a Warhawk/Plane and on flight mode double-tap R2 and hold it, you will feel the glory, no doubt(lol).

Yeah, it’s really strange. I have it the opposite way, I didn’t like COD4 at all (traded it back on the same day I bought it), but I absolutely love Warhawk! I think it’s the large levels, the vehicles/planes and the third person perspective that make it interesting for me.

I just started playing Warhawk again yesterday after reading your comments, and discovered that I am not actually too bad at it. I just suck badly at using the Warhawks, which was all I was using before.

Another great thing about it is that you can run around with an RPG rifle or man an anti aircraft gun or missile turret to take on even the most expert pilot. Just hold down R1 long enough to get a lock and blaze away.

Yup I'll have to get back into whawk. Although the last two boosters haven't been the greatest as I play zones and rarely find the new maps in the rotation with the best players. But how can you fail with jetpacks?

Never picked up Warhawk. Looks like a lot of fun though and they seem to be supporting the hell out of it.
I could add it to the long list of games I don't have time to play but want to. :)

YES! This game just keeps getting better. I too am going to stop buying games for a while - no need with Warhawk! This expansion also makes me realize how ahead of its time Starseige Tribes was on PC. Freakin' loved that game! Jetpacks FTW!

Darkage, you might not be doing anything wrong but I do feel bad for anyone who can't enjoy Warhawk. Or maybe I should envy you because if I didn't enjoy it I wouldn't be logging so much fucking time playing this amazing game.
I love how they release video trailers for new booster packs. So epic.

@Cduran01- Headsets for the win! There are even wireless bluetooth headsets available. This Warhawk update looks off the chain, and the custom soundtracks are gravy and icing, can't wait, this will definitely get me back on Warhawk on the daily.

Zero. Unless you buy the expansion packs, which bundled are like $12. But a base version of Warhawk out of the box will be updated to 1.5 free of charge (when it drops on the 27th).

I believe the game is at $30, plus 3 booster packs, each at $10, your back at $60, but I'm guessing there will be a cheaper bundle with all booster packs on release day, like there was when the 2nd one came out.
