Qore Episode 4 features early MotorStorm demo, LBP theme
It looks like Qore has scored yet another exclusive for its upcoming issue. The PSN video magazine will cover games like LittleBigPlanet, Prince of Persia, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and BioShock. However, more exciting are the Burger King-sponsored downloads. Qore purchasers will be able to get their hands on the MotorStorm demo a month before the general public, and they'll also get an exclusive LittleBigPlanet theme.Qore is available for $2.99 an issue, $24.99 for an annual subscription. Annual subscriptions include access to Calling All Cars.

It appears I might finally have a reason to pick up Qore. It's even more tempting to know I could drop $25 for the year and come out with Calling All Cars too. Nice move, Sony.
heypaul @ Aug 22nd 2008 10:47AM
Nice move indeed. It sounds like they're doing a good job pulling the wool over your eyes. You're not actually getting a demo early with Qore. The non-Qore buyers are just getting it late. It's certainly brilliant marketing, and definitely something that Microsoft is even more guilty of with their gold/silver differentiation, but let's call a spade a spade. A year ago, we would all be getting the demo next week.
NightHawk @ Aug 22nd 2008 11:37AM
@heypaul
what you said would be true if sony actual made qore themselves, it's ran by an independent magazine company
Kodros @ Aug 22nd 2008 1:41PM
@heypaul - Almost all demos come out a week before the game is released. Motorstorm for non-Qore people will be the same. So how is that late?
kloteradyingrose @ Aug 22nd 2008 5:46PM
heypaul...
GO SUCK A FISH. If it really bugs you that much go to XBL where ALL demos cost you 2x as much a year to prevent from getting them 2 weeks late. Go to where it costs 50 dollars a YEAR to play online, go to where they charge you for themes, new gamer pics, etc...
This is an optional thing that doesn't really hurt you as a gamer. What's wrong with actually supporting companies and getting something for it? I like my Qore. I bought it to help support the PS3. The least you can do is either put up or shut up. IT'S 1 DEMO/BETA A MONTH. IT'S NOT A FREAKIN CRISIS SO QUIT WHINING YOU LITTLE FREAKIN ANTI-QORE EMOS.
tommy @ Sep 3rd 2008 3:29PM
does anyone know the time of day the new issue of qore gets released? Midnight?..Morning of?...EST?..PST?
farfisa @ Aug 22nd 2008 8:31AM
Ooh, I'm tempted by the LBP theme! ...but I'm going to wait and see if there's a giant BK logo on it or something first.
Keep us posted!
reson8er @ Aug 22nd 2008 9:53AM
To date, they have given 1 theme per episode, and non have had any advertisement.
Lars @ Aug 22nd 2008 2:21PM
Yeah, that pisses me off. I don't care about Qore, but I want the LBP theme... so I gotta pay $3.00 for a theme? That's BS.
John @ Aug 22nd 2008 8:36AM
Qore is looking better and better
Danny @ Aug 22nd 2008 8:39AM
I am a little disappointed with Core. I bought the whole year and it would be great if they came through on the promise of Betas and such. I have yet to get in Socom or Resistance. If it is not available........Don't out it on there.
Albanian_Killa @ Aug 22nd 2008 9:06AM
That has nothing to do with Sony. The betas they give you assure you get in. It doesn't mean the beta will happen right away.
The SOCOM beta starts September 1st, 8th for Qore users.
The Resistance beta will probably start mid-September, very early October.
SnazzyD @ Aug 22nd 2008 9:06AM
So when is it coming out? And does anyone know if an annual subscription would still get you into the Socom beta? If not, I guess you could just buy the back copy that has that beta (assuming it's still on the 'shelves' within the PSN store)
reson8er @ Aug 22nd 2008 9:44AM
They come out the 7th of each month.
Philip @ Aug 22nd 2008 9:48PM
I thought qore comes out the first thursday of every month, with the store update
rrdmxjedah @ Aug 22nd 2008 9:26AM
Danny both betas begin next month for us Qore suscribers
NightHawk @ Aug 22nd 2008 11:05AM
sept 8th for qore socom and late sept for R2
Evi1d33d @ Aug 22nd 2008 10:30AM
I would rather buy the individual episodes that contains the beta invites when the beta comes out and watch the rest of the episodes on youtube.
It saids you'll get the demo a month before the public which means it could be a few month before you can get your hands on them.
Bad Mojo @ Aug 22nd 2008 11:01AM
I've spent $25 on worse things.... Yeah. I'm looking at you Zack & Wiki...
NightHawk @ Aug 22nd 2008 11:09AM
I've subscribed to qore back in June and i love it though each episode i wouldn't really like everything just 2 video games being covered but September i'll be watchin and playing everything, here i come motorstorm 2
benny boy @ Aug 22nd 2008 11:54AM
Come on SCEE, DO SOMETHING USEFUL and give us a EU Playstation Blog so everything's not behind closed doors all the time.

I picked up the second episode of Qore, and at some point during that idiotic video of Veronica Belmont dancing around in a mocap suit, I realized that the thing was overpriced at even three dollars. There is no new information in their videos and the "exclusive" downloads are really only timed exclusives. I'll spend my money elsewhere, thank you.
grant1893 @ Sep 3rd 2008 7:55AM
what ever happened to the 3 part series following the team behind R2!? I WANT MORE R2!!!
Passel @ Sep 4th 2008 7:22PM
:D Downaloding qore 4 now 169mb/1579mb
WLF @ Sep 6th 2008 10:06AM
Was anyone successful at downloading the Motorstorm demo? It keeps on telling me it doesn't work.
I'm in Europe... At first I thought they're geoblocking me, but setting up a proxy server in the USA didn't work. So could you download it?
WLF @ Sep 6th 2008 3:58PM
I found out why... The demo simply isn't there yet. I guess I'll have to wait.
