'Best of Leipzig' looks a lot like 'Best of E3'

Repeating its E3 performance, LittleBigPlanet took top honors at this year's Games Convention show as the "Best PS3 Game." At this point, we shouldn't have to explain exactly why it's so popular -- we're pretty sure you can see for yourself.

Another repeat winner took the crown for "Best PSP Game" -- Resistance Retribution. The upcoming Sony Bend shooter bridges the gap between the first and second games and does so in jaw-dropping style.

Finally, "Best Xbox 360 Game" went to Mirror's Edge ... which coincidentally enough, is also coming on PS3. See the full platform winners on GameDaily.

Had you said that anyone ages 5-8 could play this game I would've had to agree with you, but sadly your comment seems to have only been intended for kids, ages 5-8....

Looks like you have only looked at the box art and decided to infer that it's "just a kid" game without actually reading/understanding what the game is actually about.

that comment makes no sense lol, i think they didnt misprint it, the best ps3 games was littlebigplanet, best xbox 360 game is mirrors edge, which is also on ps3, so xbox 360 really didnt have a "best of" game

To be fair, MS didn't show any 1st party exclusives at GC 08, so it makes sense a 3rd party had to "win" it for 360. They will be attending PAX 2008 8/29-8/31 to separate themselves from Sony.

Either way, I wonder if a 3rd party still would've won had it not been the case....

Funny thing is: Mirrors Edge was only shown on PS3 (on which it looks very good and plays smooth) and PC to the gamers. No public Xbox viewing or playing on Games Convention. Probably the judges got a screening though.

Also Resident Evil was not on GC, which could have won the title for Xbox.

Yeah, E3 sucks, this year made it official. When the Leipzig show smokes E3, you know something is wrong with E3.

TGS is coming up in October, and that's when I hope to god we finally see something about White Knight Story, FFXIII, and all the other huge titles from slow/lazy Japanese devs.

I think that sony is going to be more aggressive in Europe than Microsoft. Seems like they saved a lot for Lepizig where as Microsoft had almost no presence and it opting for PAX.... nintendo sucks

From what I've read.. Microsoft didn't really want to showcase much for Leipzig.. which is somewhat disappointing.. same with Nintendo.

Astonishing as it may be to some people, it is possible to be excited about both LittleBigPlanet AND God of War 3. I promise!

Mirror's Edge, unfortunately, is one that I will likely miss. Even normal FPS games make me queasy, and all the acrobatics in Mirror's Edge would mean that I'd need a motion discomfort bag close at hand in order to play. Wish it had a 3rd-person mode, because it looks pretty sweet.
