Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist truly is a bizarre game. It's hard to make commentary on a game that's known for its emphasis on well-endowed school girls whose clothes seemingly explode at random. The truly strange fighting game has us asking all sorts of questions: why is she fighting random teenagers? Why are they so angry at her? How is all of this happening? Why are her clothes exploding? We're sure for the Japanese audience (and importers) that get their hands on this, all answers will be revealed.

I guess the exploding clothes are somewhere there, but in the videos the girls didn't get hit at all. Or maybe you wanted to see some of those enemy guys' clothes exploding?? O_o

Looks nice to me. That guy on the selection screen's completely outta place tho, IMO. Who wants to play as a guy in this game? It's all about the hotties.
Oh, and weren't the girls supposed to shout something when their portraits show up? :S
Still, I wanna see more of this game XD ... considering it'll never ever make it to our lands.

It probably is. The question is whether the animation studio was willing or had the budget to draw more frames. (The answer is probably "lol no".)

If you watched the anime, the game makes sense. ( in that Japanese way ) And I agree that the game looks good in that ' Final Fight ' sort of way.

The most awesome thing just happened. i was listening to Louis XIV's song "Finding Out True Love is Blind" while watching the video (I figured it would be a very appropriate song given the contents of the video) and the girl actually started shouting in time with the lyrics. lulz ensued.

Man, this looks more like a homebrew rather than a vg developer level game
Couldn't they ust used cell shade instead of sprites, this game look like it was made with GameMaker 2.0 (see, newest version is 7.0)

Really, they should put more on this game, i'm not a fan of the anime, for some reason, didn't took my attention (i liked more tenjou tenghe) but, I can resume in 4 words - "fighting panty flashers schoolgirls"

Man games are getting expensive these days, if you drive a car earn some money while you're driving. It'll definitely help pay for the games.
Anyway, exploding clothes would be awesome definitely add to the realism of the game, but I didn't see none and I watched the entire video clip carefully too... But nice break dance combo, B-Girls of the world unite I guess.

As you can clearly see, the larger the breasts, the stronger the fighter. For example, the one at the end had the biggest, so she comes with a spear.

Ikkitousen (I think it's one word not two) is a manga and anime. (not sure which came first honeslty) It's loosely based on Japan's history, where several factions at war and it's many heroes. In this case the backdrop is highshool instead of nations/states, and highschool girls/guys instead of samurai warriors. Add some mystic powers, magic stones, special weapons, and you've got an interesting show/read. Since alot of the characters are female while fighting clothing does get ripped and fanservice ensues.(sp?)
