SOCOM public beta slightly delayed

While many (including ourselves) were excited for the launch of the public beta come September 1st, news on the official SOCOM site tells us that the public beta has been delayed (again). Thankfully, the wait isn't too long: the public beta will now be available on September 5th, with Qore purchasers getting access on September 12th. To make up for the delay, the beta will also be extended a few days, with a new end date of October 5th.

Those that want to get access into the public beta can go to GameStop to pre-order the game. With a pre-order, you'll get access for yourself, and two friends, to join this sneak peak at the online shooter.

Yeah, this delay isn't too bad. At least we're getting compensated like we did with the MGO beta.

This is what beta's are for. Imagine if this happened on release of the game...

Could we please just have an announcement for the new 1st party headset?! I know this game is going to be a system seller for a lot of SOCOM fans, but good God am I tired of high pitched squeals and fuzzy communication coming across these 3rd party headsets! Not only that, but the echoing is so bad that when the majority of people in a lobby actually HAVE mics, you can't even tell who's talking or what they're saying!

wow... this does piss me off. oh and gamestop doesnt have beta codes near me anymore. the first week they said they didnt have any and werent getting anymore. im pissed so i bought Qore.

damn, everything ive been excited for since i got a ps3 has been delayed....couldn't wait for the 1st since i had the whole day off...now im working the whole weekend. B.S.

I'm going to be the proverbial newbie. I've never played a Playstation game, and I am thinking this will be my first. I am all about cooperative gaming online.

I guess I need to determine if this allows cooperative player, what headset to get, etc. Keep in mind I come from the Xboxland (still playing it there) and the Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six background.
