Worldwide PS3 releases for the week of August 31st

Have you noticed? The nights are drawing in, the temperature is dropping and actual games are being released. Clearly Summer is coming to a close, bringing the reasonably short games drought to an end for another year. Hold on to your wallets, because it's pretty much a non-stop tidal wave of quality titles until Christmas. Here's the full release list:

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (The Best)

Want a game from another region? Go for it. Your PS3 won't mind. Do remember that, while the games are region free, DLC tends not to be. Also, we don't know whether you know this or not, but release dates can be very ... fluid. Check with your local retailer. They'll know, fo sho'.

I heard that the graphics are somewhat old but is there a game that you can compare it to visually?I'm looking forward to this game, though.

I don't really know what game to compare it to, but I can say the graphics are MASSIVLEY better than Mercs 1. Even if the graphics are not as amazing as Call of Duty, you won't notice because of how much fun you'll be having blowing stuff up! Get this game, it rocks!

My impressions of the game, driving controls are horrible very sloppy, and aiming is not good. I've been up close to enemies shooting at them while they are on the gunners and there is no damage.

Overall, this game is not worth a buy. A Rent title, just to fill up a weekend but definitely not a 59.99 purchase. Save your money for something worthwhile.

if it supports sixaxis and rumble it could be fun. i just can't get past the minigame feel of most fishing games.

Either way, it sounds like this may be the time to try out Assassin's Creed, heard it got repetative fast so didn't want to pay full price, Platinum for the win!

This is a pretty poor line up at the moment, i was looking forward to mercs until ign reviewed it and commented on the many glitches, may be a while before they patch this and fix it which it ashame

Uh, I think you're wrong on that one. The PS3 has ZERO games, and ZERO games coming out in the future. Don't believe me? Ask any 360 fanboy, they'll say the same thing as me.

It's true, Xbox fans have such a hopeless console that they can't even enjoy it. While we are playing our PS3, they jump on the PS3fanboy site and leave moronic little comments. If they can't enjoy their console no one will.

I'm still waiting for Disgaea 3 to get delivered. Nothing to exciting this week.

I'd try a mercs demo if they release one but doesn't interest me enough to rent/buy. The facebreaker demo was horrid.

I have it...I reserved the game and I did not know that you get some cool stuff by resevering the game like a different outfit for each charater, an art book, and a ski hat with the Merc 2 logo on it.
But guess what...the games has a few glitches.
At the begining when u go to the gate the last bad guy is in the wall and you cant get past the gate until you kill him.
When u run then croutch the charater slides.
A lot of times the enemies are just standing there not shooting at you.

BUT!!!...its still afun game...but you can tell the game was rushed a bit.
