Producer takes us through the PSP version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Download to PSP
LucasArts has always been a strong supporter of the PSP, and the effort they're placing into the upcoming PSP version really shows. Anyone who's played the PS3 demo will find this level awfully familiar: it looks like the PSP version makes no significant sacrifices. Physics, destructible environments, and large hordes of enemies are all present in the PSP version. In fact, there's exclusive content on the PSP version you won't even find on the consoles. How's that for love?

It looks like this game may rake in some serious cash, if advertized properly.....
LM2007 @ Sep 2nd 2008 11:38AM

Ken @ Sep 2nd 2008 12:39PM
Darth Vader plays a little bit to nimbly, I want different gameplay from that dude. More slow and powerful.
This game is on the maybe pile
aj @ Sep 3rd 2008 5:40PM
Yeah, I'm in the "maybe" camp as well.
I think Lego Star Wars was basically it for me. I love Star Wars, but I honestly think I've had enough. It's over. Make a FireFly game (God Of Jane? Captain Mal's Carnival Games?). Exploit some other awesome sci-fi.

gumby @ Sep 2nd 2008 2:10PM

Mr.U2 @ Sep 2nd 2008 2:19PM
Demo? Please?
cafecito @ Sep 2nd 2008 2:33PM
Looks pretty solid, actually! I'll just have to see it in motion tho... since renegade squadron's low framerate made my eyes a little sore back then.
Since I don't have a Wii (I'm straight) I'm looking forward to this portable version :)

LOL

Youtube video comes to mind. "I'm not gay. I'm not gay, but I dance around in a gay, gay way!"
Stephen @ Sep 2nd 2008 3:07PM
Please, please fix the download link. I want to put this video on my PSP so I can drool until the 16th.
Andrew Yoon @ Sep 2nd 2008 3:09PM
Fixed.
Alien @ Sep 2nd 2008 3:54PM
Well this is the version I will get :D
farfisa @ Sep 2nd 2008 4:19PM
That's pretty cool with the exclusive content. The game as a whole looks great, and fast. I love the force push effect--different than on PS3, but very cool.
gurbinder @ Sep 2nd 2008 9:08PM
looks like god of war gameplay in a way... thats a good thing though
Kspraydad @ Sep 2nd 2008 10:33PM
Didn't enjoy it on the PS3 at all but I'm thinking it might make a nice portable game.

This game blows on the PS3 (respawning of enemies, takes 5 saber hits to kill a stupid rebel, etc.).
But it looks like it might be a great fit on the PSP...
Billy Añonuevo @ Sep 3rd 2008 6:42AM
I'll be getting it for the multiplayer and exclusive content. But then again, I only have a PSP right now.
God of Star Wars, anyone?
quiddd @ Sep 4th 2008 10:04PM
Did anyone notice that he was holding the saber the normal way?......not behind his back.
kacex @ Sep 4th 2008 1:27AM
Looks like they've learned a lot from God Of War, let's see if it lives up to the legend...
Samuel @ Sep 4th 2008 2:59AM
Anyone else notice the Apprentice is holding his saber normally and not the freaking awesome way he does, behind his back, like in the console versions? If that's true... I am going to buy the UMD then run over it with my tuck.
TM @ Sep 25th 2008 1:31AM
the game is good on psp with multiplayer, historic missions, order 66 and force duel modes...more historic missions would have been nice though...yoda vs. emperor! Also, how about using movie voice-overs for every word in the historic missions instead of some lame replacement.
