Guitar Hero: World Tour priced and dated Down Under, 7 new songs unveiled

What's better than a master recording for your favorite rhythm game? How about a re-recording? The three songs from Guitar Hero: World Tour have been rerecorded by the original artists, and they are:
- "Overkill" -- Motorhead
- "Pretty Vacant" -- The Sex Pistols
- "Kick Out the Jams" -- MC5
On the other side of the world, during a New Zealand press event, Activision Blizzard gave Aussies a release date for Guitar Hero: World Tour: November 12th for A$329.95. A bundle that includes only the guitar and the game will be A$169.95 while the game by itself will be A$89.95. Four songs were also unveiled:
- "Prisoner of Society" by The Living End
- "Scream Aim Fire" by Bullet for My Valentine
- "Our Truth" by Lacuna Coil
- "La Bamba" by Los Lobosz

More Guitar Hero songs and more disappointment for me. I think I'm going to have to skip on this and Rock Band 2. It really seems like they're both completely forgetting the "Guitar Hero" part of the name "Guitar Hero" and opting for songs by bands who's guitarists don't know the difference between a Kahler and a Floyd Rose tremolo... hell that might be more credit than a lot of these hacks deserve.

Those are aussie dollars and for the most part games cost $100-120 each. Yay for gouging the market!

What the fuck!!!?? That's fucking rip off! I mean 90$ for the game only!!?? What the suck honestly? And the whole set for 330$! Oh my fucking god! In Finland that's gonna cost like 500 euros with the motherfucking taxes. 500 euros is about 400-430$ nowadays I think. What do you think of that?

read the article... its 90 aussie $$..In the US it will be 60 US$ like any other game, the guitar bundle at 110 US$ and the band bundle at 200$..not 330 US$ that would be insane

Well the track list is still crap. I live in the UK, imported Rock Band, so I'm sure about importing RB2... I know the instruments will be compatible with GHWT but my question is: will it be worth it? The Guitar Hero tracklist is quite lame... (La Bamba? Seriously? You got to be kidding me) I love rhythm games but this stupid cash in just makes me wonder: should I really bother getting it, even if I'm only getting the software? Maybe I should stick with RB. I bought Guitar Hero 3 was okay, but rubbish compared to Rock Band. Then I bought GH:A... Played a couple tracks, never touched it ever since. Wow. How can you destroy my favourite franchise so fast, Activision Blizzard? I know you're gonna rape Diablo III and Starcraft II. I know you too well. Mind tricks don't work on me anymore. Well, that's just me, probably. Anyone else hates them so bad?

Its nice to see you can play BFMV but of all the songs why did they have to pick the crappiest song of them all.Hopefully Rock band will get the good songs of BFMV like waking the demon,tears don't fall,all these things i hate, & hearts burst into fire.
