Valhalla Knights 2 cuts into North America Oct. 1

Valhalla Knights 2 finally has a solid North American release date now that the game has gone gold. October 1 is the day to mark on your calendar for this Norse-flavored RPG from XSEED. The game features six-member party battles as well as ad hoc co-op and versus battles. With a story "penned by the scenario writer of Final Fantasy XII" and a $30 price tag, we'd say there seems to be a whole lot of value in the second Valhalla Knights title.

I'm actually semi-looking forward to this game. Which is strange, considering I hated the first one.

I'm itching for some RPG goodness, so I hope the game has some background story this time. Guess I'll wait for the reviews to come in.

Unless it's dramatically different than the first, I don't see how it can have a story - it's a dungeon crawler. (The first one wasn't norse themed, either, other than the name)

I'm just waiting for an RPG that isn't a dungeon crawl to come out on the PSP. Please let Valhalla Knights 2 be the one. Star Ocean is so far away......

If I recall correctly, I played the first one for about five minutes. Thought the 3d was off, liked killing the 1st dragon boss dude. Then gave it back to my friend the next day and told him good luck with trying to enjoy that garbage. Yes I know I am cruel. But look at Brave Story, its a helluva lot better than VH1 story wise, gameplay wise, graphically, and I think I liked the music more too.
