Disgaea plaformer starring Prinny arriving on November 20th in Japan

Wanna know more about Prinny: Is It Okay If I Am The Main Character? The new Disgaea series spin-off will be a side-scrolling action title featuring the exploding penguins, and here's the story: Etna had her favorite candies stolen; you are the poor Prinny assigned to look for them, or deal with a fate worse than death. Other highlights include an extreme difficulty level, "200% better pixel graphics," gameplay data exchange and a promise of new maps and bosses in the form DLC in the future.

The official site has also been updated, with information on the controls of the game, the release date, as well as a date for the demo -- the full game will arrive on November 20th for 5,229 yen (including tax) while the demo will arrive on the Japanese PS Store on 9/29. Hmm, I wish it was another SRPG... loved Disgaea on the PSP... still, I find the trailer makes it look oddly appealing...

Has there been another SRPG announced for Disgaea on PSP?

I've been wondering why Disgaea 3 would premiere on the PS3 in the first place -- how exactly does a game of this kind benefit from HD? It seems perfect for handhelds. And now that there's a "Prinny" sequel, what are "200% better pixel graphics" and what's the benefit? I have to assume that the tongue-in-chick (sorry) humor is pointing to an actual feature.

Aside from that, the game looks rather fun. (After I show my girlfriend the trailer, she's probably going to make me repeat the name *Prinny* over and over because it sounds "kewt.")

Are you kidding dood? The game looks like pure sweetness. I mean, the prinnys even have a metal slug, for christ's sake XD. Besides, Etna's there yelling as usual, so one can expect some silly-funny dialogue too.

I sure hope NIS plans on releasing a US version of this. It surely would make a fine purchase for Disgaea fans and platformer fans alike.
