This week's Rock Band DLC is borked
The Rock Band forums are being torched down by angry PS3 owners that downloaded this week's PAX Pack DLC. According to every single post on the forums, the $3 pack simply doesn't work. "I just downloaded the PAX pack on my PS3 and I can't play the songs," one user notes. "They all show up in my setlists in the game, but everytime I select one of them to play it goes to the loading screen and gets 'stuck.'"
Harmonix hasn't issued a comment yet about the cause of this problem, and an approximate ETA for a fix. We're surprised that such a damaged download pack could go live -- don't they usually test these things?
[Thanks, Ry-Tron!]

Well, that's ok, since the tracks simply suck to begin with.

Ah Harmonix sure have their heads around the PS3 don't they.
Some devs just have X branded on their skinny white asses.

it was probably enough for them to test it locally... to test every song by having some ps3 and x360 download them and then to play them would be too involving.
especially when it's been going on for a long time and it's probably the same proven implementation they use for dlc, why test it every time?

if anything, maybe they just do local automated testing.

Well they are still not as bad as Fireaxis and the complete lack of QA on Civilization Revolution.

Well, just remember that even though Harmonix has its name on it, it also has the name [shudder] EA on it. As we all know, EA neeever screws things up.

Isn't EA only involved on the hardware side of things? However, talk about some screw-ups there (at least with the initial batches)....

Yup, froze my PS3

They do usually test these things, but apparently only on the 360...

didn't they have someone else planned but scrapped it last minute b/c of an issue. Maybe they didn't have time this time.

They had a Rush album planned, but this pack worked fine on the 360, so they had plenty of time, they just didn't test our package.

Actually the problem is the MC Frontalot song.
It seems other users who downloaded all three songs seperately confirm that the other two songs work just fine.
If you downloaded the PAX bundle like I did then the whole thing is broken but still most likely due to that one song.

OMG Thats MC Front alot!!!!!

Isn't he the rapper who was described by Spin magazine as the thinnest and most egalitarian of the Nerdcore crop?
