Is this one of those LittleBigPlanet billboards?

Last month, we posted about a marketing campaign for LittleBigPlanet which involved spreading hidden yard sign-sized LittleBigBillboards around major cities such as L.A., San Fran, and NYC. The hidden signs are small enough for someone to pilfer and, in fact, Sony encourages you to do so. However, how will you be able to go about your thieving, Fagin-like ways if you have not a clue as to what these miniature billboards look like? Perhaps the above image is legit enough to point us in the right direction.

It sure does look legit; it's got the ladder and lights which match the description. But that's not good enough for us; we need a bit more than that. Let's say ... send us a pic if you yourself find such tiny billboards in your city. We'll also be keeping an eye out over here in NYC. If the billboard is the real deal, then that "October 21" release date plastered on the sign has got us quite excited for next month. See more images here.

Ugh, I hate it when people abbreviate San Francisco as "San Fran". It sounds so....lame. It's "SF" or "Frisco".

"San Fran" is what white middle-aged people from Iowa say when they tell their wives where they have a stopover flight on their way to Bangkok for a 'business trip'. It's not something that should be written on a blog where most of the readers are in their teens and twenties.

I've lived in San Francisco for most of my life, and they do call it "Frisco" there.

I like the fact that they've individually numbered the billboards - clever idea, that. The marketers have sown the seeds for this viral campaign very well (although I wouldn't be surprised if some of the photos that are out there right now were taken/posted by the marketers themselves, just to get the ball rolling).

If I found one out there, I'd definitely take it as that seems to be the idea. I'd most likely eBay it, as I can't see them being worth that much after the game comes out (unless I found #1 or #1000).

i know this is off topic but MUST BE SAID, my trust in sony are gone they & burnout makers are BOTH guity of lieing 1st with sony with its life with ps n the SCEA PRESIDENT look a fool on tv said july then august then hang on a BIT longer, wot BIT LONGER means to sony and to us BIT LONGER means 2 days, SONY BIT LONGER means A WHORE WEEK OR TWO OR THREE, now 2 burnout bike packs are just around the corner keep commin back this week for more infor & release date, SOME BIG CORNER then the week is up & still no word about the burnout patch:‘(

1 more thing i talk to a sony rep person about ff7 coming on psn store around xmas he said that on the release date list BUT like befor i doubt it, & i also doubt about deadspace coming on october 14th if it goes the B.B.F.C road & not PEGI it may be a victim just like manhunt-2 & deadspace as well be BANNED just like in japan,asia & 1 more *end of rant*

Dammit there was one on my campus at CSUN! Picking up what info I can about these on the internet, it turns out I should have taken the damn thing home with me... I bet it'll be gone come Monday too, if not by another fan then by the janitors who clean the place...
