I think both Kill Bill volumes should be on one disc. And does anyone like Night Watch more than Day Watch?
jq71586 @ Sep 7th 2008 9:49PM
If you want a DVD quality movie, sure. A PCM lossless track and 1080p video takes up the space that blu-ray provides. The disc space is bigger, but the quality is greater, so you are still going to get one movie on one disc and seasons of shows will still come on multiple discs.

No Love for Cool Hand Luke? That's a Paul Newman classic.

DAMN! I thought, "How the West Was Won" was the Led Zeppelin concert! Damn, again!
Oh well, John Paul Jones, John Bonham, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, ftw!

So is this the standard American version of Kill Bill, or do we yanks finally get the uncensored version?
I know it's not much, but the big fight scene at the end of Kill Bill Vol. 1 switching to black & white happened for American audiences; Not for Japanese audiences (and others around the world). It's silly that so far, every Region 1 release of Kill Bill has been the theatrical-only cuts of the films.
This is Blu-Ray! It's supposed to be the pinnacle of home entertainment. Would they actually put out the same North American versions on Blu-Ray when they have the space, opportunity, and incentive to release the original versions?
`Need more research before I buy.

BABY MAMA!!!
Tez (PSN: Tezasaurus) @ Sep 8th 2008 2:43AM
Looking forward to seeing how good the visual quality is on the Kill Bill flicks. The Fall caught my eye on this week's PSN update as well, so I think I'll check that out. Looks like a great bluray demo, and it's got the backing of my main man David Fincher.

It's getting a lot of perfect scores. Anything done by a Disney company (with the exception of Gangs of New York) is going to be top notch

Forbidden Kingdom isn't a must-have, but I was really happy with the Jackie-vs-Jet Li parts of it, worth a look for that alone. The weak framing sequence knocks a couple stars off it, though.
I'd say definitely worth Netflixing if you haven't seen it.
ModeMan101 @ Sep 8th 2008 11:11AM
Night Watch/Day Watch aren't vampire movies. They have vampires in them, but they're not *about* vampires. Grrr!!
Ranus Studios @ Sep 8th 2008 11:35AM
Cool Hand Luke, huh? I think it may be one of my not-often-enough Blu-Ray purchases.
Josh @ Sep 8th 2008 3:45PM
For those who watched forbidden kingdom,
I guess you took way too serious and it was stated before it was suppose to be a family movie. I thought the movie was fun and had a lot of reference to the old school martial arts movie. It was also stated it was suppose to introduce a wider audience to the Asia culture
I'm not mad or anything but i keep hearing about it being a disappointment
