hey, just wondering, I have tons of ps2 games that are able to go online but I only got broadband about a year ago, do you have to pay to play them online?

Nope, online is free. If you have any issues playing PS2 games online, there are a couple of possibilities.
1. The servers aren't live any more
2. You need to download the PS2 Online System files from the PSN Store

Just so you guys know, PS3 actually has far more NATIVE 1080p games. Which is far better than 720p upscaled.
Upscaling does not make games look as good as native 1080p games. Use Super Stardyust HD as a measuring tool.
That game is well known and runs in full 1080p.
