Worldwide PS3 releases for the week of September 7th

We were hoping this "release list" thing would only be a temporary feature at PS3 Fanboy, but those pesky developers just won't stop making games! Another batch is unleashed onto the world this week, including two hockey games for you lucky North Americans. Also, remember Rock Band? Sure, it may be almost a year old, but it's finally getting a European release on PS3. Just in time for next month's release of Rock Band 2 in the US. Aren't regions great? Here's the full release list:

Release dates are constantly subject to change. Be sure to check with your local retailer if you're uncertain. If you fancy something from abroad, go ahead and do it. Your PS3 won't mind, but remember that DLC is always region locked, so you'll need to get it from a foreign PSN store.

Don't mock us. I'm guessing it has something to do with the compatability. Still, I may just postpone buying this and import Rock Band 2.

I imported Rock Band and the songs for it on the US PSN store are awesome (heaps of content).

I don't know how well the EU regions will support DLC for Rock Band. But with the US Version, it doesn't really matter.

It's just a pity that (if rumors are true) Rock Band might not get released in AU or NZ, its an awesome game. Good to finally see it released in the European regions though.

It is such a joke that rockband is out this late.
My plan for this years music games is...
Pickup guitar hero world tour and instruments
pickup rockband 2
rent rockband and export tracks
that effectivley gives me 3 games worth of music for the price of 2 and a rental
plus the guitar hero instruments look WAAAAAY better than the rockband ones.

gah. Any european with more than 2 brain cells will give RB a miss and pick up GHWT instead. Why spend a FORTUNE on a game thats pretty much a year old, when a simelar NEW package that is GHWT is just round the corner. It seems that RB is always gonna be a year behind in EU territories. We at least know that were gonna get proper support for GH over here. TBH, if the rock band ppl were smart, they wouldve ditched the idea of releasing RB over here, and just released RB2 on time instead.

Or just import Rock Band, I did that back in April after they missed a much earlier anticipated March release. It's still cheaper to import than buy. Their loss I suppose, GH4 will be dominant in Europe, eh, competition between the games will hopefully be a good thing, and I'll be getting both but using RB equipment.

One thing that did piss me off was Harmonix staff saying they just wanted it in the hands of as many people as possible and tried to explain it with taxes and fees. Money from Microsoft made them delay for the PS3 for SIX MONTHS. Sure sounds like greed, plus the guitars alone for GH3 and RB are twice as much for a RB guitar than GH.

If anyone really wants RB or RB2, please, import.

I'm kinda hoping the DLC will not be region locked because of the way RB works. I'll test on a cheap song and let PS3Fanboy know.
