Is this the LittleBigPlanet game manual?
It seems we're having another one of those "is this a LittleBigPlanet [insert whatever]" sort of question -- same like what we've had over the weekend. There's no doubt we're excited to see what will become of LittleBigPlanet this October and most likely so are you, so even the tiniest information on the title will pique your interests.
Say like this supposed game manual for LBP. It's not entirely exciting on its own and if it were just any old game manual no one would care. But, this is the LBP manual -- the manual to one of the most highly anticipated titles for fall. Besides, it's got a lot of pretty pictures and it has a Sackboy on it. How can you ignore the adorable menace that is Sackboy? Check it out right here, read up on the instructions, and prepare for good times.

Popfrogs @ Sep 8th 2008 6:50PM
Get back in touch with Grandma, I'm sure she'll knit one up and a matching sock monkey.
lorddshadow @ Sep 15th 2008 12:34AM
@ popfrogs
well both of them live on the other side of the world in bangladesh which is third world so they've never heard of lbp. so...that would be a bit hard. :)
Cigol @ Sep 8th 2008 5:17PM
Well if it isn't someone has a lot of time on their hands.
DelSource @ Sep 8th 2008 5:32PM
It's real. Located at an SCEA internet URL.
Nate @ Sep 8th 2008 5:34PM
Agreed. Way too nice not to be real.
Dahk @ Sep 8th 2008 5:20PM
I promise I'll be a little more civilized later, but:
I WANT SACKBOOYYYYYYYYYY.
j.howlett @ Sep 8th 2008 5:22PM
i want it now or yesterday
HaloEleven @ Sep 8th 2008 5:24PM
Wow.. Spiral bound. Can't fit one of those babies in the standard clamshell...
DelSource @ Sep 8th 2008 5:35PM
Fake. Printed on for effect.
Cigol @ Sep 8th 2008 5:40PM
It looks like a graphical effect to me, not going to be spiral bound I'm afraid :)
Squirtforce @ Sep 8th 2008 5:40PM
This marks the first time I've rubbed one out to a game manual. And online even.
ZENegade @ Sep 9th 2008 4:10AM
I lawled myself.
Come Get Me!!! @ Sep 8th 2008 5:48PM
this game is gonna kick so much a$$....we'll all probably go blind!!
cant wait!!!
Flame @ Sep 8th 2008 5:56PM
I don't see how the booklet will fit due to the spirals. I wonder if its like for a special edition or something.
brazenheaded @ Sep 8th 2008 6:00PM
Don't be stupid, you know that's just printed on there for effect..
Jtenma @ Sep 8th 2008 6:06PM
I see your sarcasm..and raise you humor.
Metal_Gear @ Sep 8th 2008 6:51PM
As already stated, that is printed on to make it look spiral bound, but it is just ink. Those spirals are as real as the Sackboy nearby.
F-minus @ Sep 8th 2008 6:25PM
Well, i think it may be real but than again i dont, the burlap sack on the last page before the credits looks maybe alittle Photoshoped from the pre-order bonus pic. also its alittle odd in the credits that the paper is that square grid but the paper on the spiral is still the burlap sack, you would think since everything else is don so well they would have noticed this one, Another puzzler is why is it useing the browser window of SAFARI used for Macs, odd that they would have choose that and also no actual webpage just a gradient , also i didnt see one picture or graphic piece in there that i cant go online and find than duplicate the same graphic....either way real or not it looks GREAT and if it is a fake whoever made this deserves a pat on the back and a kick in the butt, and told to GET A JOB!!!
Evi1d33d @ Sep 8th 2008 8:18PM
What a noob, look at the link for the manual IT IS LINKED TO SCEA's website. I'm sure someone created a fake manual, hacked in the Sony's website and uploaded the whole thing.
mixelmagic @ Sep 8th 2008 10:21PM
Why wouldn't they use safari? Safari has a windows version too. Apple stuff gets used in loads of ads and grabs. Safari looks more like "a generic browser window" now than the latest versions of IE too..
Anyway yeah, It IS real, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily finished. There may be placeholders in the pdf still.
alex @ Sep 8th 2008 6:37PM
I hope this game ends up being as good as everyone hopes it is going to be. Spore was a HIGHLY anticipated game for the PC a lot more than LBP and it has gotten reviews in the 8-8.5. I am just a little reluctant to get over excited about a comepletely new game, (i.e Lair) and every other new "AAA" title that gets way overhyped.
Popfrogs @ Sep 8th 2008 6:53PM
The difference between this game and Haze/Lair is that both of those games had internal hype based on screenshots, this one has been played and demoed to the gaming press for awhile. The press is in love with it, Sony has alot of weight behind it, and MM is confident they did things right.
Day one purchase, no doubt. Anyone who ever picked up a set of legos and built something will probably enjoy this game.
LAZoftheTamarinds @ Sep 8th 2008 7:03PM
It has to be real.
Who the heck would spend so much time in creating a fake manual that looks this beautiful?
squirtforce @ Sep 8th 2008 7:07PM
Has anyone seen how big the box is going to be? It must be sweet if it's going to be able to fit a spiral-bound booklet in there. Maybe it'll be like a little box, like an actual cardboard box. ANYONE HAVE PIX?!!!
Carlton @ Sep 8th 2008 8:04PM
Never mind the spirals, how are they going to fit the Earth in a box? Or that giant SackMonster that appears to have crushed Scandinavia?
On a more serious note: check out all the tools! This is gonna be like Fantastic Contraption x1000!!!!
The only disappoint is that it only has one song by The Go! Team on the soundtrack.
crackp1pe @ Sep 8th 2008 8:12PM
Am I the only one who is getting a bit tired of the unending trickle of information, screenshots, manuals, and more about LBP? Make no mistake, I am *extremely* excited about this game... but giving us the manual more than a month before its release is just kind of ridiculous. Release it already. I don't want to be sick of it before it even comes out, and it's hard not to begin feeling this way. Remember Halo 3? By the time it arrived we'd all been drinking Halo 3 Mountain Dew and slurpees, seen it everywhere on TV and in print... it was really hard not to be disappointed because there was too much hype in advance.
Hyams @ Sep 8th 2008 8:23PM
But it added up to MASSIVE sales for Halo 3. It's obvious Sony are desperate to get as much sales out of this game as possible.
b'fresh @ Sep 9th 2008 9:31AM
check out the ebook i made of this:

Thanks, because it seems the SCEA link is dead now (at least it was when I clicked on it).
Hirsbrunner @ Sep 9th 2008 3:04PM
yeah, thanks b'fresh! you rock!
